This is our third time that we as a family have stayed at The Alexandra Hotel, and the first time under new ownership. Without question, significant improvements have been made and big strides have been taken in transforming this hotel into one of Blackpool's finest.
I simply cannot fault the hospitality and generosity of the new proprietor; Philip Millar. As soon as we arrived, he immediately set out to ensure that we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday, and ultimately our stay at the hotel. He was an extremely pleasant and humorous chap, and he regularly provided us with various snacks and drinks throughout the day. We were also able to engage in conversation with him, where his sense of humour was clear to see.
I was extremely impressed with the buffet system that was employed at breakfast every morning, as it enabled us all to eat what we wanted, without being forced into applying quick decisions. The variety of food that he delivered was fantastic, as we were able to choose between the English breakfast or the continental option. Therefore, the breakfast was undoubtedly a huge plus.
I was also a huge admirer of the games room that he has now created. The pool table that is located in the heart of the room provided us all with some late night entertainment and amusement. We also participated in games with the proprietor, Philip, which further enhances his pleasant and enjoyable nature. In the evenings, the room also operated as a place where we could socialise and reflect on the events that occurred during that day, whilst drinking tea or coffee.
Overall, I struggle to select any faults in this hotel. The proprietor was pleasant, the rooms were immaculate, and the hospitality that we received was extraordinary. I would bet my life savings on the fact that I will be returning here!
