As some others have said, this must be the most ignorant and insulting hotel owner in Blackpool. I was referred to as a 'scouse hasbeen' by him when I complained about the service.
When we arrived around midday we were informed that our room would not be ready for an hour.
The room was small even for a family room and we had to move the cot out of the way to access the bunk. beds.
The second morning we were 1 minute after 9.30 arriving for breakfast mainly due to the fact that we had to wait for the toilet to work properly (which it never did anyway). Speaking to a friend when we got home it appears that this problem had been ongoing for some w eeks.
The owners wife told us we were too late for breakfast. We thought she was joking-but no, she was serious. My Daughter asked if we could just have some cereal and juice for the young children.
She told us to sit down and she would see if she could get us some toast and coffee. Her attitude was appalling. She snapped at us that we could come in and have some toast and cereal.
The owner brought out a plate of cold sausages and bacon and asked what all the trouble was about.
We said that we were a bit upset by the situation at which point he started shouting 'cant you read' (referring to the meal times) and banging things about.,This upset the children considerably and my Daughter asked him if he would discuss the matter outside instead of in front of the children and other diners who were being served their breakfast. He refused to discuss the matter outside quietly and shouted 'I'll call the Police - get out of my Hotel'
At this point the children were crying, and I said - 'well call the Police then', to which he turned round and called me an 'old scouse hasbeen' and said. he only ever had trouble with Scousers. Bear in mind this abuse was hurled at two ladies and three young children.
We went and got our luggage and went to the desk to pay at which point we were told they had already taken the payment off our credit card.
Lots more could be said about this man - however, I will say that in my opinion , he is not fit to run a hotel with his anger problems.
