“Enjoyable stay at the King Edward”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2007

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed a last-minute weekend in Blackpool in July 2007 at the King Edward. The experience matched previous Trip Advisor reviews in that we were well looked after by Keith and Angela. We arrived in a downpour and were immediately offered complimentary tea or coffee. The room was as expected in this price range - compact, clean, comfortable and with a good en-suite. Breakfasts and dinners were good value and cooked-to-order. We particularly enjoyed the company of other guests, and Monty the talking parrott, in Keith's well-stocked bar (and sampled his range of premium whiskies!) We're happy to recommend a stay at the King Edward.

  • Liked — Keith and Angela. They work hard to please their guests.
  • Disliked — Room just a tad too small, but typical of the property class and price paid.

The Elliott's stay:-

The King Edward Hotel is the perfect place to stay ,it has all the charm and tranquillity you would expect at a hotel . Angela and Keith were the perfect hosts, the food was lovely, the bedroom was very spacious and comfy, everywhere was clean and fresh. The best thing for us was that it wasn't too close to the main attractions in Blackpool and when you retired to your room for the night it was wonderful you had peace and quiet which is the most important thing you want when you are a parent. My children loved the experience of living in a hotel they especially enjoyed the pets that Angela and Keith owned. The next time we stay in Blackpool it will definately be in the King Edward Hotel.
Thanks Angela and Keith for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

  • Liked — separate little bedroom for the children
  • Disliked — no sea veiw

I stayed in this hotel for my birthday in Febuary and the hotel alone made my weekend. I was made to feel welcome from the moment i walked in the door, the bar was great and my room and hotel were very clean and had a homely feel that isnt easily achived. I have already booked my room for next year. A very big thank you to Ange and keith

Another outstanding performance accuratly descibes Keith and Angela and the King Edward Hotel. I have stayed on numerous occasions and they have never failed in delivering an oustanding commitment to customer satisfaction. I have always received a very warm welcome and a 'nothing is too much trouble' attitude. The big hotels may have brash and fancy facilities but you cannot beat the very friendly approach and personal touch that is handed out without a thought. The rooms are pleasent, the bar is of an ideal purpose and the breakfast is definatley top drawer. I would heartely reccomend the King Edward to my anyone and I will most certainly be back for another installment. My congratulations to the team, another job well done.
