“Another excellent stay in award winning B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2012

This is the second year in a row we have stayed at the Colwyn Hotel for the Totally Transport weekend. The hotel is clean and welcoming and the staff are friendly and attentive. The rooms are all super value for money with most having excellent sea views. Some of the en-suite bathrooms are 'cosy' but this is not off-putting. The breakfast is delicious and they are more than happy to accomodate any special requirements. I am recouperating from a serious illness and as such was given extra assistance including taking all my baggage to my room. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for the staff who seem keen to ensure your stay is the best possible. I am really impressed and have already reserved our rooms for next year. Well done to the Colwyn - they deserve their 2012 Trip Advisor award. An excellent example of a traditional B&B with outstanding customer service. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Blackpool.

Room Tip: Rooms on the third floor have smaller windows - choose second floor for best sea views.

Just got back from great weekend at Colwyn Hotel, came south via Harrogate for longer break away.
Very impressed with Charles and his team, especially the 'Ozzie' guy nothing was too much for them. Food and service was very good and quick, between 35/40 of us and all seemed to equally complimentary.
First time in Blackpool for many years this hotel was just the job, thanks Steve.

Excellent stay, Used the Colwyn Hotel as a base for the Elton John Concert. Its location made getting around very easy. (Parked the car and left it in their off road parking) Bus & Tram stop just across the road.
Rooms are adequate for a short stay. The food is very good and plentyful. The staff are VERY friendly, nothing was too much trouble. (Their Irish Coffee really hits the spot after a wet and windy night out)

I stayed at the Colwyn from 14 to 17 June to attend a reunion of HMS Hermione, I found the hotel and all it's staff very friendly and helpful during the whole stay. The hotel is clean and the food excellent, my single room was good for a short visit and it was lovely to have a sea view, this does not very often happen with single rooms. I have stayed there before in 1994 and would stay again if I am ever in the area
