“Family friendly hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2012

Fantastic time had by all of the family. Lots of tips from owners about where to visit, even looked on the internet for lottery results for me, nothing was too much trouble. Will be back next year with the family again.

Room Tip: Ring and speak to owner.

Visited again over the bank holiday weekend and the high standards of Sue and Allun are still there. Rooms clean and spacious, great well priced bar and fabulous breakfast. Will be looking at our 2013 break and would recommend any time.

Room Tip: Room 5 is the ensuite family room.

We arrived early as we emailed we would, but leaving the luggage was no problem, and we met Sue who was instantly great with our five year old son. They even took our luggage up to our room as we stayed our past the check-in time. The beds were comfy, and the shower worked, there was a kettle for cups of tea, and we had freeview, which we mainly used, and there was also a DVD player, with an extensive list of DVDs that can be borrowed. Breakfast was lovely and filled us up for the day and they tailored it to my son's tastes after the first day, and remembered what we all liked. Ther was cereal and fruit juice, and a full English and toast on top of that. The bar was nice and cheap, and Allun came out to join us on the patio and was great again with my hyper-imaginative son, and again was great with him the next night when we all came down to watch England play. Is definitely a great place to go for families with kids, is easy walk to the beach, think is not too bad to zoo, but we got bus anyway, is probably pretty easy to walk to pleasure beach too. Also we were able to leave our luggage for the rest of our last day meaning we could enjoy the last day of our holiday until our train left later on.

This really is a fabulous place to stay. Spotlessly clean, comfy beds, a full working shower, fluffy towels, delicious breakfast all topped by Sue and Allun who were very friendly and welcoming. We were even given a soft cover for the bench outside as it was a little wet from the rain earlier in the day. A real family friendly place. Top class quality and definately worth every penny.

Stayed at the Chelston Hotel from 3rd - 6th August whilst attending the Rebellion festival.
On arrival (which we were early) we received a very warm and friendly welcome and shown to our room. We had a double on suite room which was a bit on the small size but adequate for a place to lay your head at the end of the day, couldn't fault the cleanliness - it was spotless. Small onsuite with basin, toilet and shower. Double bed, bedside table with tea/coffee making facilties and a wardrobe with plenty of hangars. Breakfast was excellent - tea or coffee, juice, fruit, cereal, toast and a full english also, enough to set you up for the day and lovely service and presentation. The owners were very helpful with parking, advising where we could park free of charge and they also advised on where to go for sightseeing.
The location of the hotel was excellent also, about 10 mins walk to the winter gardens, tower and seafront with central pier.
We will be returning to Blackpool for the festival next year and we will be trying to book into the Chelston Hotel again, if its not already booked, as it ticked all the boxes for us.

Great hotel with a very homely atmosphere, stayed for 2 nights and we couldn't have chosen better. The rooms were large and very comfortable, no noise for the 2 nights we stayed and the breakfast was amazing, would definitely stay again :D <3
