“Excellent value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2011

This premier inn didn't disappoint. Rooms clean and in good condition. Beds very comfortable excellent nights sleep. Tram station about 15mins walk. The pub offered a good value breakfast. Excellent value at £29 per night would stay again but only if the price was right

Visited in November 2011-family room excellent, good strong shower, copious hot water and good sized flat TV.
Spotlessly clean and reception staff extremely polite and helpful.
Well located for buses and trams (12 minute walk). Bispham village round the corner with a Tesco, Booze shops and Old England pub that does cheap food and drink.
The breakfast at the Red Lion next door was great value. The best deal of the trip was the pre-6.30pm menu that offers a superb 10oz rump with trimmings for just £7.99.
I have to agree with other reviewers the exterior of The Red Lion that can be seen from a distance looks poor with missing letters on the pub name.

Tip: Avoid checking in at around 3.30pm on schooldays. The car park, although large, gets swamped by parents picking up their kids from the High school at the rear of the hotel.

If visiting Blackpoll or even Poulton and Fleetwood, this hotel must seriously be considered

Very friendly and lovely staff. Family room was spaceous and very clean. Choice of firmness of pillows was an added bonus!

Breakfast was good, although you pay extra but children are free. Good choice of food, was very busy when we visited but the breakfast was being topped up all the time.

About a 15 minute walk to the nearest tram stop, but the bus stop is right outside the hotel and takes you into town.

My only negative (which has been mentioned on here before) is that the pub could spend abit of money and replace the missing letters on the pub sign - this is not a very good 1st impression!

Booked last minute and could only really find this hotel, stayed in many premier inns over the last 12 months and got exactly what I expected, clean rooms furnished to a reasonable standard. Value for money was not that good, around £90 per night plus breakfast. The service in the restaurant for evening meals and breakfast was not that good, had to wait ages for someone to come and show us to a table, on the second day we gave up and found a table ourselves, no coffee or tea available and had to find staff to get the empty flasks replaced. In fairness to the staff who were helpful once you coud find them I think it was more a case of what appeared to be everyone descending for breakfast at the same time and not having enough staff to cope. The Pub was also very off putting as this is your first impression when visiting, at the very least get the missing letters from the sign replaced. I would say that I would stay at premier inn around 30+ nights per year if the room prices and meals were more realistic. The charges for broadband are excessive and should be included in the price.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, always a plus! the family rooms were large and well laid out. we checked in here when we were coming to blackpool for the illuminations, when we booked i thought it would be miles away from anything, but actually its about a 15mins walk to the bispham tram stop.

my only niggle would be that the whole hotel, rooms and restaurant were sweltering, it was the end of october but they could save a few quid turning the heating down!

breakfast was good but you have to pay on top of room rate. it cost 7 per person but you get a child free per paying adult so it cost us £14 for 2 adults plus 2 kids. worth it.

All in all, a pleasant stay, in a decent hotel in an ok location with great staff
