Fabulous weekend break at the Lyndene October 2011.
We stayed last year for the first time & enjoyed it so much we booked up before we left for this year.
Check-in: reception staff are professional, efficient, helpful & friendly.
Rooms: Clean, tidy & comfortable. Towels changed daily. Flat screen TV (remote now in room). Hair dryer, kettle with complimentary tea & coffee. Great shower with complimentary shampoos, moisturiser, shower cap, shaving kit. Ceiling fan (wonderful to keep room cool). Rooms cleaned daily. Great night sleep, went up after entertainment ended & was never disturbed by any guests.
Meals: serving staff efficient, friendly and very obliging.
Breakfast, cereal (corn flakes, rice crispy, bran flakes, weetabix) fruit (prunes, peaches), toast (just ask for more toast & you shall revive), jams & marmalades. Orange juice, tropical juice, water, tea, coffee. Full English breakfast which really sets you up for the day. Breakfast for Kings. I was so stuffed I never ate again till evening meal. If you get up before breakfast they serve a complimentary free cuppa in lounge which I think us a nice touch.
Evening meal: wow great choice. Choice of starters then (recommend both prawn cocktail & melon). Thus is then followed by soup & bread roll. Then a good choice for main meal. (I can recommend beef roast dinner with Yorkshire pudding& pork medallion). Dessert again lots of choice. I recommend lemon meringue pie with ice-cream. Then tea &...Fabulous weekend break at the Lyndene October 2011.

Ask for a water jug if required. The house wine is £10 very nice & good value. Rose Pinot is very nice.
Entertainment is Blackpool at it's best. Very polished & entertaining. Friday we were treated to wonderful range of cabaret. Particulary enjoyed the comedian who did fab impressions of Delboy & Benny Hill :-). Enjoyed Roy Orbinson. (Last year Take That Tribute was brilliant and I'm not a TT fan). But we really enjoyed the male singer who cane on after Roy. We could have listened to him sing all night. Saturday we enjoyed the comedian, both male singers excellent and I enjoyed Abba tribute. DJ Paul & guess the year game, great. Paul plays great music. It's like a great wedding, Christmas or school disco. Bingo 25p a card £10 for a line £80 full house. Fantastic!
Before we left we had a lovely latte coffee from the bar (best one we had had in Blackpool) the check in desk lad helped our party of 10 with the door & cases to the bus.
Would I recommend. Yes. We have already booked & paid our deposit for our next visit. Ignore the whingy posts. This is value for money.
Thank you Lyndene staff & management. More
