Stayed at this hotel for four nights last month...never again...about 20 guests in all.Food very, very limited ,not much variety over the four days.
We had an executive room...would not like to see the standard ones. There was a continual smell of food as we must have been directly over the kitchens..one could smell it beginning after the fire door in the passageway ,before our room...and ,of course,in the room.
The beds were OK,good firm mattresses. The bathroom was very small but adequate.
A huge flatscreen tv dominated the dressing table thus not being able to use it,as the other part had a kettle etc.which was secured to it....no mirror...
I had to stand in front of the bathroom door to dry my hair as there were no other plug sockets in the room other than at the "dressing table".,which was next to bathroom door.
There was supposed to have been a hairdryer provided...good job I always take my own...was none!

We did have a leather sofa which was nice to have but lacked a coffee table, so nowhere to place our cup and saucer..had to use the floor.
We had to pay a £10 refundable deposit for remote control...this lowers the standard of the hotel as it suggests clientele of the lower class.
Every hotel we have stayed at in the past provided a rubber safety mat..here you to pay £8 (refundable). On mentioning that this comes under Health and Safety and should always be provided ,was told this is not so...??????

I would like to say to the management...put the tv on the wall, freeing up the dressing table and a mirror, even if just a small one at one side.(tv using up the other part.).
A coffee table....
Also to keep a check on the cleaners...neither of our rubbish bins were emptied in the fours days we were there.
And...-please do something about cooking smells penetrating the rooms after the fire door leading to rooms 207,208 etc.

The entertainment ...cannot comment ..as there were not enough guests to warrant one bothering to go to the room where held.

Blackpool...is a dismal, dreary place...I had not been there for fifteen years and that was only for the illuminations in an evening...and did expect some improvement...but no...will not be going there again

Room Tip: avoid rooms after the fire door before rooms 207.208 and the rest in that part of the passageway.

We felt that this hotel was great value for the money, great choice of food, staff were very friendly
went out their way to help, the response we had from the owners were superb, could do enough for you, so we feel that they should be mentioned as a great Hotel, you had to pay for parking at £5
a day but which was your space for the entire stay,or use the general car parks,we had a nice
clean room.shower and tea/coffee felicities. so anyone can enjoy a great stay with plenty going
on,bingo, great entertainment, what else do you need great stay and we shall be back again.

Room Tip: we had a disable room

That is if you get a room on the 4`th floor. Our party of 2 couples stayed there on the weekend of the 22 March, our friends stayed on the 3`nd floor, room nice and warm, our room on the fourth 402 was cold with the radiator just warm and the unheated bathroom freezing - had to use our friends. Reported this to management but nothing was done, other rooms where given portable heaters so there must be a problem with the heating system. It does not help when they switch the heating off at 2300hrs. I know that weekend was excepturally cold but this is supposed to be a "open all year" hotel. Other than that i enyoyed this hotel, the food, the staff and the decor was good

Room Tip: keep off 4`th floor unless it is warm weather

Just returned from a 3 day stay at this hotel. Paid £10 for 2 day parking, only to be told, oh sorry, no room, unless we squeeze you in to a little space which would just about fit a motor cycle in. Eventually we squeezed into a space but couldn't get out of the car...too tight. No welcome smile from receptionist, just a peep from over her spectacles telling us how stressed she was. hmmm was that our fault? We only wanted to check in.
We then asked if we could pay for an evening meal. no problem, but no sorry, we don't accept credit card, cash only please. OK, i'll just nip back up 4 flights of stairs again to my tiny room in the attic where we could barely walk round the bed or open the wardrobe door. I returned to reception with my £20 cash, only to be told by the waiter .(who was hanging out at reception) "your'e better off coming down late cos we're busy tonight" Thanks for the advice, I replied. We went down for dinner at 6:30, an hour after they started to serve. After a basic salad starter, lettuce tomatoes, onion, cucumber, we had beef stew with dumpling. Oh no sweet...too late, they had taken it all away.
Games room? a pool table.....cocktail bar ??? couldn't find one...coffee lounge??? nope, no, one around to serve coffee. Please check out your bathroom, hate hairs on the floor and in the shower cubicle. Maybe i'll try the Hilton next year.

Room Tip: Don't accept 4th Floor...rooms tiny.

The New President Hotel is typical of the poor standard of hotels available in Blackpool trying to be something it is not. There only saving grace are the friendly staff working for them who could not do enough for us during our visit. Rooms very tired and of a poor standard of cleanliness. If like me you expect a hoovered carpet before checking in to your room, don't. shower screen black with dirt along the bottom of the shower door. Food poor and disappointing seeing as the "chef has cooked for the Queen". The Sun lounge and bar is the most uninviting place anyone would want to sit, seats uncomfortable, 52" Plasma with a green line running down one side, off putting. Five pound parking per day is outrageous and should be for the disabled only or on a first come first served bases. The swimming pool is in the Hilton and you need a card to get in. I have very little good to say about the hotel other than expect to be disappointed as it is nothing like the webpage promises.

Room Tip: Nice views of the Irish Sea from the front rooms.
