“Various visits”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2014

It's got a good atmosphere about it and it puts in time if you're bored or the weather is bad. Git to admit though some of the machines can be a bit dodgy and some staff members just look like they can't be bothered. But overall it's worth a visit I'd say.

“Rude staff, some machines are dodgy ”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2014

This amusement arcade is the biggest in the uk, and they try to be best in Blackpool. Over the years I've been visiting I've seen so many refurbishments, use to be great for the kids with play areas, and loads of small rides, but sadly it's all changing, there is too much of big area for over 18s, which house 3 of these.
But my main view of the place is, the staff do not, really care for the customers, if a machine doesn't give you all your winnings, you have to go and track down a man wearing a red shirt with black tie to sort out your problem, which can take upto 20mins to come to your machine to sort out what's wrong with it.
Be carefull when playing the 2p machines, some are still there from 80s they either don't work or the back screen has gone, don't even waste your money on the teddy grabbers as the grabbers themselves don't even try to pick up a teddy.
The food is average, they have Peggy's snack bar, pick up a tray, order your food over the hot counter, they give it you, so still waiting in queue for 5 to10mins, only one till on, take it to your table and its cold.
If you want a better amusement arcade To go to,I recommend star attraction next door nicer staff. And better amusements .

“School Dinner !!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2014

Been to this pub loads of times on every visit to Blackpool and have always enjoyed the ,meals including the carvery. However we were on a short break and visited for Sunday Carvery last weekend and it wasn't good at all. The meat had no taste , the veg was nearly non existent, the stuffing balls were so hard they were inedible and the roast tatties had been lying for a while as had gone chewy due to sitting too long. The cola was def not coke although not charged for a draught cola and we got a special offer of apple crumble and custard. It reminded me of the main course - tasteless - and very much like school dinners from 20 years ago. Certainly wont be returning there in a hurry. Although the chippy attached to Coral Island was absolutely fantastic , give it a try ! Oh and also , we love Coral Island especially the Camel Derby and could never miss a chance for a wee shot of winning a soft toy .
