“Just one flaw”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012

Just returned from three nights at the hotel had a great time ,facilities superb ,staff very good, food excellent, just one observation not criticism ,the reception is on the 1st floor, making the entrance not very inviting to non sports lovers, which I felt they would need to attract, apart from that a very good hotel and would certainly return.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012

Have been visiting Blackpool over many years and was all too often disappointed with hotel accommodation, location, parking. Not so this time - this hotel is brand new, the bed was gigantic and one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. All the fittings were of a high quality: the en suite, the large wall mounted television, the bedding. The room was large with chairs and table and luxurious carpet. Was not sure how parking would work out as often a problem at Blackpool hotels. There is plenty of parking all around the hotel - in the evening there were plenty of spaces vacant close to the hotel entrance, filled up a little during weekdays with stadium employers but still spaces within 100 yards - can move down later in the day. On a return visit to Blackpool this will DEFINITELY be my first choice of hotel. The hotel is very conveniently located for the town and the sea front - about half way down the Golden Mile - great for the lights. Areas for improvement could be: a little more information in the room about facilites and to have hotter plates for the breakfast buffet - these are minor areas given how good this hotel is. Nice bar and very reasonably priced snack menu. Great to have breakfast overlooking the pitch.

I stayed here with my 14 year old daughter, sister and mum and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was extremely clean just perfect. Our room looked over the pitch and it felt really special. I can't comment on the restaurant but I heard it was very good and on our next visit we will be trying it. Breakfast was great relaxed and everything you would need. This is the only hotel I'm staying in in Blackpool from now on.
Thank's for a great stay. :-)

The main reason we chose this hotel was they accept one night stays at the weekend at their normal rate. They also have parking which is always a bonus in Blackpool. Check in was excellent - the concierge and reception staff were very welcoming and efficient. The room was fine. Nothing special but clean and comfortable. The only problem we had was no hot drink at breakfast. We were shown to a table and ordered tea. I enquired about it's whereabouts after 15 minutes and was advised they were very busy and we would just have to wait!! We were there just over 30 minutes in total and didn't get the tea. And we weren't the only table. It looked as if they had a shortage of tea pots!! I did speak to the restaurant manager about it on the way out and he advised he was employed by the external catering company that provided the breakfast but the hot drinks were provided by the hotel and therefore there wasn't anything he could do to control it. He said this happened regularly. Although this didn't spoil the stay I did feel it let the hotel down. After all a pot of tea should not be difficult to provide.

The hotel is only 12 weeks old & has a lot of work still happening,it's 4 star grade is still in question. The rooms are basic very similar to a premier inn room, the difference is the sofa bed is not great, the breakfast ok but nothing to rave about , staff very well trained & polite but having stayed in blackpool a lot the big blue or a premier in is well worth the money, this hotel will get better by age so give it time to get on its feet.

Room Tip: Overlook the park is some what different

LOvely hotel, very clean and fresh! Breakfast could have more choice in way of hash browns, black pudding, fried bread etc and no sausages on the Monday of our stay made even less to choose from! Not a comPlaint as such just feel to compete with other four star hotels would be nice to have larger cooked breskfast section and go the extra mile ( if sausage delivery not arrived- get them from somewhere else!)

We stayed here for one night, on a trip to see the illuminations, and I only wish we had been staying longer at this hotel! The hotel has only been open a short time so is still very fresh and new. On arrival the reception and building is very modern with various items from blackpools history dotted around. The rooms and hotel in general were immaculately clean. The bed was extremely comfortable so made for a good nights sleep.although on a relatively main road, we experienced no noise from outwith the hotel. Parking was easy and at no extra cost outside in the hotel car park. We had a town view room but would likely try pitch view next time...if nothing else just for the novelty factor! The bar was very comfortable to relax in with a drink, overlooking the pitch or looking at various items of Blackpool fc memorabilia. We did not eat dinner at hotel as already had plans but the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Staff all very friendly and the manager welcoming. We will definitely be back and would not stay anywhere else in Blackpool! The only fault I could find was the bar had run out of baileys!!we survived however and shall return
