We were booked in through previous owners, prior to new owners refurbishing and increasing prices.
It was obvious on arrival that our BB & EM booking was not really welcome at the price we were previously quoted as owner couldn't return our deposit quick enough stating chef was unwell so no evening meal available although he wouldn't give a reduction in cost if we went for BB only.
Hotel itself looked really nicely refurbished (we had stayed there before) but travelling 200 miles just to find that we had to look for another hotel is not very welcoming or any way to run a business. A phone call to tell us about problems would have been more customer friendly and appreciated.
We did find another hotel nearby which was far better, so this did turn out to be a blessing in disguise.
Poor show Homecliffe.

Turned up at hotel without booking hotel staff were fantastic showed us the room before we booked rooms looking onto the sea from a side view are the best with jazuzzi , rooms on other side are a bit smaller but still very nice all new, breakfast was very tasty and cooked fresh.

My wife and I recently had a most pleasant stay at The homecliffe hotel after an exhaustive search to find some quality accommodation in Blackpool. Thank goodness we found the TripAdvisor site. We have stayed at other establishments, elsewhere, which were highly recommended by various tour guides but they have rarely lived up to expectations. Who better to inform than the people who have actually been guests and then reported their findings.
For our part we found The homecliffe to be everything the previous reviews said aboutit. It is extremely well run by very friendly people. We opted for dinner, bed and breakfast and were not disappointed. Wonderful food presented perfectly and representing outstanding value. Our room was most agreeable with nice decor. Everything is thought of.
Needless to say we are looking forward to our next visit. It is a long drive from Essex but the stay will be well worth it. Gary & john are to be congratulated.

first time staying in blackpool and was amazed at the welcoming we received when we arrived at the hotel.The staff could'nt be more than frendily,the rooms were roomy,beautiful and very clean. John the proprietor was very helpful and the receptionist that greeted us was first class.The food served in the bistro was of very high standard and the waiting staff where very pleasant.There has been a lot of effort put into this hotel and i wish you every success in the near future. Keep it up. Staying in this Hotel made our holiday very enjoyable and we will return next year. Thank you all.
