“Excellent place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2009

I've stayed there 3 times now, once on my own and twice with my family.
Parkings a slight issue, but they have spaces 5 mins walk, and the rooms are a smidge on the small side.
Apart from that its a great place. Very friendly owners, always make us welcome, and recognized me straight away after almost a year.
Rooms are clean and tidy.
Right by the seafront, but without the traffic.
Definitely my B&B of choice when in Blackpool.

we stayed here with 2 children for 5 nights-to see the illuminations
we found the hotel very very clean and warm and cozy-plenty of room in the family room
the staff were very kind and polite and well mannered
the breakfasts were really lovely and well cooked
we was very close to the pleasure beach and south pier
we enjoyed our stay and would reccomend this hotel to others :)

Booked a last minute, one night stay on route to another destination. Hotel very close to south pier, parking is an issue. Although very close to the town you do not hear any noise once inside.
A warm welcome received. Room was small, but comfy double bed and spotlessly clean, great shower and lots of hot water. I believe that the owners are in the process of upgrading the rooms and from what i could gather ours was not one of them. there was no door handle on the outside of the room (rm2) and no remote control for the TV.
The breakfast was first class and the service good.
Would definately stay again, but would need a bigger room for more than one night.

What a lovely hotel. As a Family of five we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was immaculate with a lovely smell everytime we walked in our room. Location is superb as we were so close to the pleasurebeach. The breakfast was lovely and there was plenty of it. The owners were very friendly and would let our children play with their dog Alfie at certain times which was a real treat for them, Overall, the price we payed was great value for money. We will definitely return and this hotel will be at the top of our list.

Whilst staying at the Danescourt Hotel, we felt as though the standards of a 4-star accomodation were not met. Firstly, the mattress in the room was quite old with springs poking us in the back, the sheets had holes in them, the ensuite had a rusty old shower rack, and when it rained (which it does do in Blackpool), the ceilings were visibly wet despite efforts by the management to cover the previous wet spots with fresco paper. We did not complain as we thought Andrew was a genuine host. However, when we found a hair in our breakfast and QUIETLY pointed this out to a staff member, we were confronted by one of the "silent owners" who shouted at us, in front of a full dining room, for making this complaint. This was then followed by being verbally attacked by the "not so silent partners" when trying to check out, and Andrew was no where to be seen. The rude and disrespectful way in which we were treated was totally uncalled for and ruined our holiday. Can provide photos.
