“28th Annual Blackpool Weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

What can I say. Fab weekend, nothing too much trouble for the management or staff on duty. Checking in was a breeze - even asking if we would like a news paper in the morning. Parking was ample. The rooms were lovely and clean and tended daily. The sheets and towels were sparkeling white, beds we lovely and soft too. The children in our party had lots of room to play in the games rooms on pool/snooker tables, PS2's and darts to mention a few things to do. The meals were very good and portions were very good too. A different flavoured soup and chicken nuggets was not too much trouble when catering for the children. The location was when great for jumping on a bus or tram or having a night stroll along the prom. Will definatly be back.

Room Tip: The rooms on the side of the building have a smashing view too not just the front facing ones.

on a negative side, the bed in our room was very soft,my personal prefrence being a firm mattress

Just got back from a weekend stay at The Headlands and once again had a brilliant time. The food was excellent (as usual), the staff are friendly and helpful and the entertainment was very enjoyable especially on Friday night. At the moment the hotel is undergoing some
refurbishment so I think that staying at the Headlands is only going to get better. The location of the hotel is ideal as you can easily get into the center of Blackpool, go into Fleetwood or Cleveleys as there are bus and tram stops close to the hotel but you are at the quieter end of Blackpool so if you don't want to be in amongst all the crowds at night this is a lovely hotel to stay in. I would recommend the Headlands to anyone and feel confident that they would enjoy their stay.

If i just start by saying we did not stay in this Hotel we had already booked into another hotel close by but we stumbled across this hotel whilst looking for some dinner and Hogmanay entertainment close to where we were staying as we have a 4 year old and didn't fancy going right into the centre of Blackpool.

Considering we only booked this late afternoon of the 31st December it was amazing : ) my husband pre-booked our meal so it was a surprise each course that was served to me but very, very enjoyable and ample portions - we were fit to pop!! Asparagus soup with "hot" bread roll, melon and raspberries, duck breast with vegetables and potatoes followed by pavlova -yum yum!!

We were made to feel very welcome from the minute we walked through the doors and even after dinner they made sure we felt comfortable to stay for their entertainment - we joined in right from the start, quiz, bingo and disco my little lad had such a great time he was up dancing with ladies young and old : ) We even got given a glass of bucks fizz and party poppers to bring in the new year - these little extras made it for us and it was very reasonable.

Thank you to all the staff at The Homelands Hotel for making our Hogmanay!

Room Tip: Sorry we didn't stay here but maybe next time : )

I have been to the headlands on many occassions and have never had a problem yet.
The staff are fantastic and friendly and the quality of rooms are something brilliant.
Great location near pleasure beach and only a few mins walk from harrowside village,
one downside is that meals are a bit rushed but ideal for a short break.

if you're looking for a modern hotel, this isn't the place for you but that doesn't bother me.

Will be returning this year, the bar is good too!

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view. it's worth it and have a look at harrowside. nice place

Me and my mum stayed here for 3 nights from 29/11/12

The food is very good. The rooms are very clean and comfy although our rooms didn't have a shower just a bath so its worth checking this when booking.

This hotel has a big carpark so no issues with parking and is near the bus and tram stops. It is a very old fashioned hotel but it does the job.

Room Tip: If you are like me and you have a shower everyday then make sure they have a room for you that has a...
