“Loved the hosts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2008

We stayed in a family room 2 adults and one 13 year old.
I saw the hotel on GMTV back in July and knew it was the ideal hotel for us. It is central to all the attractions the Tower, Louis Tussards and for me the shops.
From the time we spoke on the phone to make the booking, to the time we walked through the door to the time we left Geoff and Lorraine made our stay very enjoyable.
In the room they had kindly left sweets which I loved although I think they were meant for my daughter.
The breakfasts were fab none of this cheap cereals in a bowl or a cheap pastic jug but in small boxes and branded names Quality.. Caffetiers of coffee
We had to leave a day early as I had a hospital appointment and they were very accomodating.
A fab time had by all and we hope to go back in the summer

i stayed in the Norwood for four nights with my wife and our two daughters aged 3 and 9. We booked the family suite and as soon as we entered it we knew we had chosen the right hotel. It was spotless, warm and beautifuly decorated. There were free sweets for the children and lovely biscuits to go with the assorted tea, coffee and many other hot drinks on the drinks tray. As for the bed! Well, we wanted to take it with us! The children loved their own adjoining room with their own tv and bunk beds. Breakfast was fantastic and set us all up for the blustery seafront. It was October! Geoff and Lorraine who own and run this wonderful little hotel are a lovely couple and they went a long way too making this a wonderful holiday for me and my family.

I stayed recently with my family for the weekend, what a fab place, rooms were very clean, food was great, bar is welcoming and a great size and the big TV for watching sporting events is brilliant, my 3 year old son loved it! Great location & there is also a big carpark just down the bottom of the road. I would like to say a big thanks to Geoff and Lorraine, we really enjoyed their company and they are very welcoming, thanks for everything.

Having returned home from Blackpool only two hours ago with my wife and two children (4 and 14 weeks) I wanted to do three things. 1. Make a cup of tea, 2. load up the holiday snaps and 3. Write this review! As I am no doubt limited to words in this little white box I am typing in, I may as well forget sentences and mention some words that come to mind after staying at the Norwood, so here they are:

Clean, welcoming, friendly, flexible, easy, family, delicious food, big TV, warm, central, peaceful, handy, quality, comfortable, equipped. Professional, helpful etc... etc...

I could go on for a long time. From start to finish the Norwood made our first trip away from home with a newborn baby easy, from directions/parking, to local entertainments on offer they had it all covered!

Thanks again for a great value holiday! We will definitely be back.

Stayed in this hotel for a weekend for the Illuminations. We found it to be very, very clean, the hosts Geoff and Lorraine were very hospitable and very friendly and did all they could to make sure your stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Our room was clean, warm and quite modern. The downstairs bar for guests only was great way to have an enjoyable drink before bed.

The breakfast comprised of a full english, cereal, fruit, toast, etc....delicious!!!

The hotel is also located very close to the Tower and the Golden Mile.

The hotel is fantastic for couples and families.

I could not recommend this hotel more!!

Recently returned from a weekend at the Norwood Hotel. Very convenient for the main shopping area and Blackpool Tower. The proprietors, Geoff and Lorraine are friendly, knowledgeable and make you feel really welcome.
We stayed in a family room for four (double bed and bunk beds) which was compact but comfortable with complimentary hot drinks and bottled water, biscuits and even sweets for the kids!
The hotel is well maintained and is spotlessly clean - they even loan you umbrellas when it's raining!
Would thoroughly recommend this hotel to couples and families.
