We stayed here on a coach trip for a long weekend.
We were greeted by the landlady Terry who quickly and efficiently checked everyone in with their room keys and tv remotes.
There is not a lift and there are 2 floors, but stairs are quite steep.
The rooms are adequate, there were plenty of hangers in the wardrobe, Tea/Coffee making facilities with complimentary Tea/Coffee which was topped up each day. The bathroom although a little tired comprised of toilet, washbason and shower and complimentary soap. The TV was a little small, but who goes away to watch TV?
There was a choice for meals which you were asked the meal before what you would like for the next meal, the portions were very generous, breakfast was at 9.00, juice/cereal, full English etc and toast with tea or coffee and dinner juice/soup main and dessert with tea or coffee was at 5.00 which was a bit too early for us and the 3 courses were served within 1/2 hour.
There is also a bar which stayed open late with different theme nights, bingo, quiz, darts etc and also a singer one night.
Overall the location is good being close to the front, about 5-10 mins walk to the centre, the hospitality is very friendly and good value for money.
