“Another great day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2012 via mobile

Went back again and took my friends 3 year old daughter. She loved it, especially the train ride, monkeys and elephants. Sea lion and parrot shows are excellent. Meals in the cafe very nice and lots of choice.

“A good day”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2012

Took our one year old who loved it. Pushchair friendly and clean facilities. The animals appear very well cared for and seem to have ample room. A down side for us was the £2.50 to park on top of the £15.50 each admission fee.

“Lions and tigers and giant anteaters. Fascinating and fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2012

This really is a delightful and manageable zoo for all the family. It has lovely and easily accessible grounds, plenty of shelter for a rainy day and plenty of grassy spaces, picnic tables and play areas. The model dinosaurs in the Prehistory Safari are almost as popular as the live animal collection. The animal collections are well organised and well displayed with good education and conservation activities and information. The staff are very helpful and polite.
There are adequate catering facilities or you can bring your own picnic. Refreshment kiosks are placed around the different areas as are toilet facilities. The guidebook is a snip at £2.50 and is a great photographic record of the zoo. There are well advertised displays and animal feeding times. Small children particularly enjoy the farm and pet area. Plan your day carefully and make an early start as it is not a cheap day out and you will want to make the most of everything on offer and allow plenty of time. I took my daughter and 2 grandchildren aged 3 and 5 and they all had a great day out despite showers. With car parking, entrance fees, coffees, cold drinks, ice creams and souvenirs the whole day cost the best part of £100.00.
