“very disappointed!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

its four years since our last visit and boy has a lot changed!! The queue to get into the circus was ridiculous, really should be able to book seats, circus was good but definately not as good as other years. Not happy about having to pay to go into ballroom, although this part of the tower was as good as ever. Jungle JIms for the younger ones was overpriced for short play time, didn't bother! Tower Eye was good but we were lucky with the weather, although we had booked online we still had to queue to get into the tower for quite a while. Not alot else going on, whats happened to the aquarium and other attractions that used to be inside. Much preferred paying one admission price and do what you like. Merlin discount vouchers are widely available on food items but its ridiculous that they cannot be used in school holiday time. An expensive attraction for a family paying full price. After the circus and tower there was nothing for our teens to do except fork out more money for the dungeon!!!!

“Overpriced”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

It was great to visit this icon of the British seaside but it is very overpriced. The 4D experience was good, but practically the same as the London Eye 4D. The glass floor is the same as the Spinaker Tower in Portsmouth, but still weird to stand on glass so high above the ground. For the price there was not alot to do, and you have to pay for everything else once you're inside the Tower.. The views from the top were good and would be even better on a sunny day, shame it was cloudy when we went.

“Great Show, long queues and poor seating”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

Booked the circus in advance the night before attending on the internet. Then had to queue with young children and very elderly parents in a biting cold wind while waiting to collect the tickets. Took about an hour. Felt this was very disorganised. Why can't they have ticket machines like they do at the cinema, where you just put in your credit card and the tickets pop out!!
Then because we had to queue for so long there was a limited choice of seats for a party of nine. We landed up in the highest seats possible. My Mum thought she was going to collapse. Why oh why can't seats be booked, oh, because then only the bottom half of the circus would be booked and maybe they'd have to make the seats up high cheaper or something. Definitely would not return, they treat cattle better at cattle markets.
Very sad though, as what we could see of the show looked great, especially the two clowns and the acrobats/trapeze artists. We didn't feel part of the audience.

“Best views of blackpool.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

Quite expensive but the 4D cinema was entertaining despite dangerous from the wet slippy floors. The views from the top is unreal. You get to go so high then the glass skywalk is a must (not for the faint hearted).

“Excellent views and great day out but very scary!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013

The Blackpool tower eye was a great day out. We had a look at the ballroom and the circus which was good. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The 4D experience was really good and showed the history of the tower. The lift to the top was so scary! The glass floor on the top was so scary but a must do. We walked up 2 more flights of stairs which was so high up! Probably would liked to have seen more information and history on the tower showing how it was built. The photos you can buy are also a great souvenir.
