We have just returned from a weekend at this hotel. From the minute we arrived we realised that this was not going to be as good as stated on the website. There was no friendly greeting. A bit of paper was pushed in front of us without a word of what to do. I had to presume that we were required to fill this in. We were then given our room key but I had to ask where the room was as we were not told what floor etc it was on. The room itself was lovely, clean and comfortable - no complaints about this. We were awoken on the first morning and every morning after that shortly after 6 am in the morning by the visitors in the next room either talking very loudly or arguing with each other - we were on holiday and did not intend getting up so early or listening to people arguing! When we went to breakfast the first morning I was shocked to find we were sharing our table with a stranger. Not quite what I expected! The waitress serving our food was absolutely excellent and the quality of food was also very good. I feel that it is wrong of Brian and Barbara to say they are friendly hosts as they did not introduce themselves or make themselves known to us so I do not really know who they are. The hotel states it has a licensed bar yet does not have draught beer. To be served in the bar you had to press a bell and once you were served the person went away. There was not even any music playing in the background in the bar in the evening. We didn't want to party but just a bit of an atmosphere or someone else to talk to in the bar would have been nice - in the end we took the can of lager and can of cider up to our room to watch a TV which kept losing it's signal and changing channels! It also states on the website that there is Wi-Fi in all bedrooms. This is a joke! We tried to watch the Switch On concert on line but this was a waste of time as it kept cutting off. All in all there was no life in this hotel it was totally boring. No warm welcome and just a thank you when you handed the key in at the end of our stay. They didn't even ask if we had enjoyed ourselves. There are a lot more friendlier hotels in Blackpool and I won't be staying at this one again.

Me and my wife spent two lovely days in this hotel. Hotel is in a perfect location just behind the promenade where most major attractions are located. Hotel was very very clean, good breakfast and staff where excellent and very welcoming. The price of the Hotel was cheap aswell. Would definatley recommend and wouldn`t stay any other place if i am to visit Blackpool again. Thanks Nicola & Jason
