“Lovely hotel great for families”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013 via mobile

We stayed one night in a family room (2 adults and a 2 year old). We had a warm and friendly greeting and were advised where to park. The parking area is ample for 4 maybe 5 cars. We were then shown to our room, there were two double beds and a bathroom with a shower, a television with free view which helped to watch c beebies and tea and coffee facilities. One mattress was fine but the other was a little uncomfortable and you could feel the springs when you moved on the bed. The room was decorated well and very was clean. The shower wasn't very powerful but it was warm. The bar was well stocked and reasonably priced. Breakfast was lovely, they made a special breakfast for our son and served fruit and cereal as well as a full English. The hotel is perfect for a location for visits to both Nickelodeon Land and Sandcastle Water Park a slow 5 minute walk. Gale (the Proprietress) was very helpful and good with children. They went out of their way to make our stay very enjoyable and were allowed to park at the hotel the day we checked out to avoid car park costs. I would recommend to anyone wanting to visit Blackpool and we will return

We went for my daughters 16th Birthday weekend with friends and thought we'd do the authentic B & B route along with the piers, a trip on the trams, the pleasure beach, rock and all the razzamatazz of Blackpool. We choose the Morrisy for its location initially, park up and then walk or tram everywhere - South Pier is a stones throw. The added bonus was the warm welcome we received from the owners who were only too happy to let us have some fizz and birthday cake before we headed out for dinner. The rooms are spotless, the place is lovely and warm and the breakfast was excellent. Great value for money - we'll be coming again.

Originally we had planned to stay at the Verdo but a delay in the refurbishment meant they moved us to the Morrisy, and how glad we were for it as on arrival we were greeted very well by Gale and Clas (the owners). Over the course of our four day stay, they were always very friendly and gave us a nice welcome to the breakfast room every morning at which we enjoyed a delicious full english each. There was even a night where they were going out and trusted us with unlocking when we returned and thanked us for looking after the hotel in a way. Both me and my girlfriend were on our first holiday together and we both agreed that if we ever return to Blackpool, the Morrisy is top of our list of places to stay.

Room Tip: The double room is small to get around but provides a homely comfort and a lovely view of the promen...

My wife Janet and myself( BILLY ) have been going to this hotel for about 20 years and have yet to have even 1 fault or complaint. I have known Gail AND Klass for several years and they are a very nice couple and nothing is any trouble for them. As for the bad review from ozzy land I reckon they were just to fat for the shower and to big Ersed for the bed as this hotel has all your home comforts And more. Over the years a lot of our friends have been reccomended this hotel by ourselves and have also returned on many occasions so dont be worried and give this hotel a ring and book as I can assure you its simply the best!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: lovely hotel ideally situated for pleasure beach etc

Stayed for 2 nights and was great. The room was very nice and the en-suit was wonderful. Had a great sleep both nights and a wonderful breakfast in the morning. The bar at night is nice and relaxing and the price are spot on. The staff are very friendly and cant do enough for you. The only problem I had with regards to this hotel was the one terrible review it got. Please don't let that review make you think twice as this is a great and comfortably hotel and after all how can you review a hotel you never even stayed at. Will be staying again and again.

My friend and I came to stay here for the weekend and found it excelled our expectations. The room was clean & warm, the bed was nice & comfortable & the sheets were crisp and clean. The breakfast was excellent and the location is ideal for the pleasure beach & surrounding area. The couple that run this b&b are very friendley and nothing was too much trouble for them to ensure our stay was a happy one. Theres also a car park round the back which is a bonus. We will definitely be returning again next year

Room Tip: Theres a en-suite room on the ground floor for those with difficulty in walking

My wife, young son and I stayed at the Morrisy for two nights last week and had a wonderful experience. The house itself is stunning with many traditional features and the location is spot on - just next to South Pier and the Pleasure Beach. Very friendly staff who went out of their way to please and breakfast was very tasty - overall excellent value and we will return! Could not disagree more with the last review which states that this is a 'basic B&B' - believe me its anything but!! Beautiful building. My son left his 'Snoopy Toy' in the bedroom and when we returned there was a lovely message on our house phone letting us know - Snoopy is now on his way back home after spending an unexpected couple of days living it up in Blackpool....
