Where do I start....came here with my grandma for 5 days booked a double room which was so small it wasnt fit for one person nevermind two! The room had an awful smell and was very shabby and inadequate. The bald man on reception I think it was the mabager is the rudest man ive ever met. Very sarcastic and unhelpful. Service in the restaurant was poor wasnt even asked if we would like a drink with our meals and there wasnt much choice of food. The entertainment was almost non existent. The whole hotel reminded me of a care home! Nice from the outside but very shabby inside. Would never return

The Georgian Hollies really rescued my friend and I this weekend when we were let down by our first B&B!

Due to the condition of the Northlands Hotel (including a room that was without a lock with rowdy, drunken boys next door), we needed to find another B&B at 3am on Saturday during a festival. We knew that this would be difficult but fortunately we enquired at the Georgian Hollies, where a really helpful member of staff found us a lovely, clean twin room for just £60.

The price included breakfast, which we thought was great value. The room was very clean and nicely decorated and was a great size - we'd definitely recommend the hotel and its staff, we're very grateful.

It was okay for a short stay, clean and tidy, food was fine, the waitress in the dining room was a lovely girl, cheerful, helpful and always had a smile and a good morning for you. I had a single room it was very small, but then it was a single, it was clean, but that's about all I can really say good about it, it faced the back was very dark and you needed the light on to see even in daylight, it was very hot, and no air seemed to get in even with the small top window open all the time, you only get one towel, I also found it lacked the final touches that makes a hotel a place you want to return to, e.g you get a bag containing 4 sugar sachets, 4 milk sachets, 2 T-bags and 2 coffee sachets, but you would normally expect this to get replenished daily, but that had to last you the duration of your stay, (or purchase more) no hair dryer in the rooms, which I have always had, so didn't think to bring one. I was there for 4 days. No one greeted you or told you where the dining room, bar or where to find things, our coach arrived at 1.20 pm, but we were told to either leave our case somewhere or sit in the bar as the rooms weren't available until 3 pm, they didn't indicate where to leave your case, just find a spot to dump it. I just found it a bit of an unfriendly place and uncaring, I understand its a budget hotel, but personally I felt it could do a bit more for its guests, and it's not really a budget price compared to other hotels. I was also above the bar and my room was next to the landing door which was noisy with a lot of coming and goings. I wouldn't go again, although It might suit other people, this was just my thoughts on it,

Room Tip: Try and get a front facing room, as the back rooms are very dark, also bring your own tea or coffee...
