For the 3rd year in succession I've enjoyed a girlie break at this hotel. Excellent location opposite the entrance to Stanley Park. Close yo the zoo and model village. The facilities are excellent . I can't get disappointed that my room wasn't ready when we arrived whilst some of my friends were , it was way before the check-in time!! We waited in the comfortable bar area and the receptionist later came to find us to bring our keys to our room when it was ready .. How great was that!! The rooms are clean and well appointed with tea/coffee making facilities too.

We had a relaxing afternoon in the pool and made use of the hot spa pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna .

Food was great at breakfast and although we didn't this time, we have used the in house Italian restaurant before and I would thoroughly recommend it.
Nothing is too much trouble for the staff in this hotel , the atmosphere is very friendly. If you want to go into Blackpool the receptionist is only too willing to phone a taxi for you...I'd thoroughly recommend a stay in this hotel.

Stayed here for 3 nights in June 2012 and have no complaints at all. One morning, we came down for breakfast and I was standing in the queue for the restaurant, holding my 2 year old. He leaned foward and decided to pull the t-shirt of the bloke in front of me. This 'bloke' turned around and who was it??? Only Roy 'Chubby' Brown! He was playing at the Winter Gardens and was staying in our hotel of all places! Great bloke, posed for photos etc with no problem. Anyway, the hotel! Great room, great facilities, great price, great location. You can't go wrong here. Not in the middle of Blackpool ( i mean, would you dare??? ) but close enough to only pay around a tenner to get a taxi into Blackpool. Oh, did I mention the golf course attached to it?

My friend and I had a day here last month and it was ok nothing like what we expected, the products are nice but the staff not very attentive to our needs and did not really seem interested in what they were doing. the treatment standard was ok. I have been lucky enough to pick up quite a few deals lately for day spa's so will be reviewing them in due course, there does not seem to be a site just to write sa day reviews so unfortunitley I was forced to write this on the hotels page sorry as we did not stay over so cant comment on the hotels bedrooms or food but we did go to the pub for a coffee which was friendly and served food that looked nice. I would not come again but my friend said if she got a good deal she may return but the deal would need to be less than half price.

I stay generally one night at a go here on business. Well out of the kiss me quick zone and slightly more refined than some hotels in Blackpool. Great and easy parking and an efficient and clean place. A big gym and pool area which is a local club so can get busy.

The rooms are very well appointed and comfortable. The restaurant last time I went was a bit American Italian gangster style, but deliberately so though. The meals match that style and if you stay for more than a night or two, may get a bit wearing. Some negative comments about breakfast which is a bit average. Come on guys, do something about your eats !!!

There's a concession coffee place in the foyer too but only during the day. Seems to waste an opportunity there guys?

All told, a competent and comfortable choice for business and short break. If you want the other dude of Blackpool but to leave it behind after the evening is over, also a good choice and only a short taxi hop from the madness.

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions because we don't le the grotty b&q s on the Blackpool front . We find the staff absolutely fantastic they cannot do enough for you as my wife is disabled they go out of their way to accommodate us in a room for disabled people. The restaurant is excellent and the breakfast is to die for .
We stay here because the price pound for pound with the hotels on the front is head and shoulders way above anything they could supply , and if you get the right rooms you can be awakened in the morning by lion call its like being on safari in Africa, this is an absolutely first rate hotel and the facilities are excellent the pool and gym areas are always clean and if you fancied a round of golf they have their own 18 hole golf course. We cannot praise this hotel enough and it has the added bonus of being 5 minutes drive into Blackpool for the illuminations or just for a day at the beach and no rowdy drunken yobs to spoil it.

Room Tip: If you wish to hear the animals request a room that side. Of the hotel

I stayed in the De Vere as part of a business trip. The girl on the front desk was polite and have me my key card but gave me no direction as to where my room was leaving me to walk in entirely the wrong direction.

The rooms are clean and come with tea & coffee facilities and ironing board, iron etc. there was a nice flat screen TV and decor is tasteful, if a little dark. The bed was hard and pillows were lumpy and hard.

In the bathroom decor was clean and functional but there was only Carex plugged to the wall to replace any toiletries - for a quality hotel this is a cheap touch. No shampoo, conditioner, shower cap or soap.

Dinner included in the corporate package was at Bucca de Bepo. Quite frankly the food was disgusting. Antipasti had a tiny amount of cheese but loads of caper berries, the pizza base tasted frozen and the sauce was more like purée, the tiramisu tasted as if it had been in the fridge for days - the sponge was dry and he cream had hardened and started to solidify. Breakfast didn't fair much better as some of the berries on offer we're still frozen which was an unpleasant addition to my muesli.

The conference facilities themselves were nice with tea, coffee etc on tap as well as a range of soft drinks. Lunch was also nice and much better than the food from Bucca de Bepo!
