What an interesting evening this was!
I live in Blackpool and have wanted to visit this restaurant for some time as it seemed so curious to me that a place that isn't in the best part of town should get so many positive reviews. The initial impression wasn't great; groups of young smokers around the entrance, an uninviting bar area and the dining room itself had the feel of a basic bed and breakfast. They didn't have the wine we ordered and had run out of chicken; I feared the worst. My mood changed dramatically when the food arrived; it was beautifully presented, delicious, and excellent value for money. The waiting staff were friendly and attentive and as a nice touch, the chef came out talk to us at the end of the evening.
The standard of food alone makes this restaurant worth a visit, but I couldn't help but feel that the waiting and kitchen staff deserve a better venue.
