“Great value!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2011

Just returned from a weekend at the Sandpiper and would definately return again.
Apartment was clean and large enough for our 7 family member needs.
Only minor niggles were that the shower wasn't very powerful, more like a sprinkle than a shower, and there wasn't a lock on the bathroom door.
The bathroom had to be accessed by the second bedroom and the bedroom door would not close due to the way the beds had to be positioned. Of course for some people this may not be a problem, unless you are two families sharing one apartment.
The good points far out shone the minor niggles as it was exceptionally clean, warm with comfy beds and well equipped with cooking facilities, hair dryer and plenty of plugs and complimentary umbrella's to loan. Its nicely situated away from the crowds but close to the Pleasure Beach and over looking the sea.
We did NOT find it cold, draughty, noisy or feel that the towels were too small as some have reported.

Pleasure to do business.

These apartments are very well suited to anyone interested in Blackpool pleasure beach. There were 5 of us staying in one apartment. although the bedroom with one single bed and bunk beds was slightly cramped it didn't matter as we spent most of our time in the living area and in the pleasure beach. it was very clean and had the basic cooking utilities which was useful for breakfast and the staff were extremely pleasant. the only complaint I have is that the WiFi didn't have good signal, it didn't reach our top floor room at all and it was poor signal in the lobby. all in all it was a very enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: try to stay on the ground floor or floor one to have any sort of wifi

Stayed in the Sandpiper Apartments with my husband and six year old son. We had an amazing time stayed in apartment ten, It was spacious and very clean, had everything that you would need for a self catering hoilday. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. If we ever head back to Blackpool on hoildays will definietly stay here again, would reccommend it for a great family hoilday.

We stayed in apartment 7 and found it clean and homely.fully equipped kitchen&freeview tv.Located on the seafront very close to pleasure beach(south).Very quiet location&within easy reach of train station, tram stops, bus stops etc.The apartments also have wi-fi connection. The bedding was clean with lots of pillows supplied.
We found the manager very helpful&friendly&felt able ask for assistance when we needed. He was also flexible with check out arrangements.
The electric meter was fully topped up when we arrived.
We enjoyed our stay despite the terrible weather&the kids didn't want leave!:)
The apartment bathroom is small but the living area is more than big enough for a small family&a foldaway dining table&chairs are also provided.Overall excellent value for money&great location with reliable owners:)

Our stay at the Sandpiper was a superb and impressive one. The service was absolutely A1 right from the enquiry through to our stay. They didn't have exact the avaliability for our stay but instead of leaving it at that they were so helpful in offering us an alternative arrangement, something i've never experienced before. They accomodated us in thier excellent sister hotel (The Colwyn) for a night and then we moved across into the apartment. The apartment itself was spotless. A nice sized kitchen, with all the amenities provided, such as a microwave oven, frigde freezer, oven/hob, pots, pans, utensils, everything down to the kitchen sink! The chairs were all very comfortable and the tv was a good size, bigger than in most places we've stayed before. The beds were so comfortable we a superb nights sleep. The location was on the seafront and was literally a stones throw from Blackpool Pleasure Beach and the train station. Bus stops were right outside and when the trams are back up and running down to Starr Gate there is a tram stop directly opposite aswell. They were also very kind in accomdating our luggage both on arrival and on departure. All in all a fantastic stay and i certainly hope to come back here again in the future.
