“Nice B&B. Great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

Stay with kids in November . Had a family room that slept 5 but was extremely small. No room to swing a cat! Had a room above the bar area which wasn't ideal as it was noisy till about midnight so the kids were kept awake till late and we had to be up early the following morning. Breakfast was OK. Would stay again but will try other b&b's first to compare. Very reasonabally priced though for a family room as used my Sleepcard so got an extra 15% off.

Room Tip: If you have kids, ask for a room higher up so not directly above the bar area

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry that you found your room to be too small, with not enough room to swing a cat. But we are of a standard size compared with the rest of the purpose built hotels in Blackpool. With regards to the noise from the bar, we do try to keep the noise to a minimun after 11.30pm on weekends. On the weekend in question, the bar was full with children who was at the same competition who also had to be up at the same time as your party. I agree, it would be good for you to try an alternative hotel in Blackpool at the same price as you paid to stay at the Trafford to compare! We hope that the next time you visit, you find an hotel more suitable for your needs.

We booked this as a last minute weekend away to come watch some football and 'make a weekend of it'. What a gem! We were given a warm welcome in out of the cold and into a lovely clean and warm hotel. Our room was nicely decorated and spotlessly clean and the ensuite was very new and modern. The owners are very friendly and helpful regarding local restaurants and we had drinks in their bar after each night out which were well priced and a good selection. The cooked breakfast was extremely tasty and a nice plateful without being too much. Refills of toast and juice/ coffee offered. Great location 5 minutes from all the 'action' but in a quiet location and they dont take bookings from drinking parties and stag/ hen parties so you don't need to worry about being woken up. Families and couples mainly. We will certainly be back.

You really don't have to look for anywhere else to stay, this hotel is perfect. From the point we booked, to being welcomed as we arrived until the time we left, our stay at this hotel was faultless. The hotel itself is spotless, very well decorated, the rooms are so cosy and toasty warm from the November cold, but it's the warm welcome from the hosts and ambience of the hotel that makes it such a good place to stay. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff and it is quite apparent that their main focus is that your stay with them is as pleasurable and welcoming as it could possibly be. Make sure you sample the breakfast too, the traditional English will set you up for the day and the eggs are just perfect, compliments to the chef for his tireless frying of eggs, how many to date Robbie?? When we stay in Blackpool again we will definitely stay here again, there really will not be any point in looking for anywhere else as this hotel ticks all the boxes. Robbie and John, you have a wonderful hotel there in Blackpool and it's all because of your attention to detail and making every guest feel special and important. Thank you for making our stay a memorable one, hope to return and see you again soon.

Second trip this year first in the summer and then to see the lights, second trip better than the first. I don't know how Robbie and John do it, they remembered my likes and dislikes from my first visit the lovely breakfast staff were the same. All of the rooms have been updated now to a very high standard, so much room now since they took over the older hotel next door. Blackpool seems to be over ran with sea gulls which never gives you a moments peace, the double glazing makes sure we could not heard them. A very peaceful nights sleep in a very clean room, soft towels and a nice long hot shower. Added bonus parking so much safer and cheaper than any where else in Blackpool.

Room Tip: All rooms are decorated to a equally high standard, rooms at back of the hotel are so quiet you thin...

The Trafford was very clean, good family room with all the essential facilities you need. Recently decorated and to a good standard. Beds were very comfy and it was nice and warm which was a good job as it was freezing outside. Staff very helpful. Overall, very good value and would definitly use it again.
