Before i start my review i will admit i am quite fussy. Stayed here with my 2 daughters & grandson for 2 nights at the start of the summer holidays. The reception area was typical of a B & B - with lots of 'things to do leaflets' and miss matched furniture, staff were friendly and polite. We had 2 rooms. We had a double room that was quite small and had very old fashioned decor and furniture, the en-suite bathroom was very compact and has seen better days and could do with lots of TLC and a good clean to get rid of the mouldy grout around the shower, there was dust down the side of the wardrobe that looked like its been there for years, the inside of the window and frames were grimy. The bed was a bit lumpy but ok for a couple of nights. Our other room was a twin and much more spacious, it had the same low standard of cleanliness as the double. Breakfast was another matter all together, quality cereals in original boxes, fresh milk and orange juice, grapefruit, toast and a full English, so lots of choice and good quality throughout. The location of the hotel was good and only a 2 minute walk to the sea front quite near to central pier. Overall the hotel was ok for a couple of nights but could defo do with a spring clean.
If you can, ask to view the rooms before deciding on staying.
