“Room so small and cold! Back yard looked like a tip!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013

We checked in no problem and showed the room. Our room was so tiny and cold and the view outside in the back yard was like a tip. There was a ladder, mattresses, old tv boxes and allsorts of rubbsh! The bathroom was very very small. The bedding could do with replacing and looked cheap. Breakfast was ok but not the best I've had.
Towels were provided as was cheap coffee and cheap tea.The location was excellent for where wanted to be.
The hotel just seems to be full of clutter and is in need of updating.
I would not stay here again.
I do not know where the others have been staying to give this hotel such good reviews, believe me I've stayed at lots and this has got to be the worst we have ever stayed in!! And I always rely on Tripadvisor for my reviews!!

Room Tip: Don't bother! Look elsewhere!!!!

Stayed here for 4nights last week and quite simply, Dawn, Andrew and their family have this hotel thing off to a pat, the most welcoming hosts, orthopaedic beds for a brill nights sleep, freshly ground coffee in the morning and a brekkie that set not just me but also my friends. If you are going to Blackpool there is simply no other choice of hotel.

The owners of The Newbury are the perfect hosts! Nothing was too much trouble, they had loads of local knowledge and were friendly throughout.
Breakfast was lovely and you could have what you wanted. They even had veggie sausages!
Only slight let down was the pillows felt like they were stuffed with small makeup sponges.... very unusual, but hey, its cheap, in a great location, far enough out of town to not be bothered by noise and the owners are lovely.

A very warm and welcoming B&B. From arrival to depart nothing was too much trouble, from the room to the food it was exceptional, the host Andrew & Dawn were very friendly and helpful from what to see (and directions to pubs) to approx prices for car parks and travel. Would not hesitate to book with them again.

Had a wonderful stay. So friendly & welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. They went out of their way to ensure all needs were met & our stay was enjoyable. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a family friendly stay. Will definately be using them again.

My wife, my 2 daughters (aged 2 & 4) and I really enjoyed our stay here. From our arrival until departure Andrew & Dawn were great hosts, friendly and helpful. The room was warm & clean, and the kids loved the bunk beds. An xbox was an unexpected bonus! Breakfast was spot on too, very tasty. We've stayed at many b&b's in Blackpool over the years, and the Newbury is up there with the best, we'll definitely be back!
