“Eat Anytime”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2013

Warm, friendly staff. Clean and inviting dining. Extensive, value for money menu. Service with a smile. Only one fault, doesn't open in the evening.

“Yummy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013

We have been to Quilligans a few times now this year. The staff are really friendly, The food is delicious always hot and fresh the chips are fab. They have lots of choice from roast diners to sandwiches and soups. Great prices too I always know we're going to have a good meal when we go there. Would definitely recommend to others.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

We had breakfast here on a shopping trip and found it to be one of the best we had had.. I had scrambled egg, cooked, not in the microwave but properly..there is quite a difference... the gent that served us was polite professional and friendly. my husband had a full breakfast and both came with coffee and unlimited toast and jam!!!!!!!

“Excellent value for money cafe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

This cafe is in the town centre adjacent to the Grand theatre and has an excellent and extensive menu. It is also licensed for those who like a beer with their meal. My husband had steak and ale pie (around £6.50)and I had southern fried chicken style wrap with a sweet chilli sauce that came with a super tasty coleslaw, fries and salad for just over £5. It was all very hot, fresh and delicious!. Service was excellent and the toffee and jam pudding with plenty of custard rounded off the afternoon nicely (there was enough for two and the waiter kindly brought us 2 spoons in anticipation!) This was our second visit and we will eat there again!

“Unfortunately Lacking in some areas!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013 via mobile

We came for a light lunch with family and one friend. We arrived by the bar and there was no member of staff to be seen, then we went through to the restaurant, but it was as if we were not seen, so we headed to a table. The iced glasses were an excellent idea. I ordered the Boiled Egg Mayo Baguette with Chips. Firstly, the baguette was not a baguette with was what you would use for a Hot Dog but larger. The mayo with the egg was not mayo, it was something different as not described on the menu, also not described on the menu was they they served the egg mayo filling on a big, chunky leaf of lettuce, what if someone didn't like salad. The was a stingy amount of salad provided with the meal on the side of the plate and it looked like I was served the left-overs from somebody else's meal. The chips were greasy and tasted very battered. Even though the food was presented and described badly on the menu, the taste of the food was good, which gave the food an overall of average. The atmosphere was bad. The carpet was dated and rather like something out of an old persons lounge. The walls were fake and were not proper white brick, it was wallpaper. The radio was playing as if you were in a builders breakfast cafe. Although the decorating was bad and old, the atmosphere and the people around makes a genuinely warm and cozy atmosphere, which gave the atmosphere an overall of average. The value for money was also average, considering the food was described and presented badly. The service was again, average, due to that some members of staff were obviously talking about their social lives, which made them not be aware of people who were trying to grab their attention, but at the end of the day the food was served and we were on our way. This is a nice place, and maybe would return.
