“brilliant stay, would definately go back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2009

Fortuna house hotel is a brilliant b&b, me and my boyfriend stayed there in august 09 for three nights. the breakfast was lovely, cereal toast and a full english available, i didnt have the full english any of the mornings but my boyfriend did and it looked really nice, he seemed to enjoy it! the rooms were small and basic but very comfortable and clean, the bed was very comfortable and there is a tv in the room, only ordinary tv channels 1-5 but, better than nothing. the bathroom was tiny but liveable for the three nights, the shower was a decent size, although the shower head didnt move or come off the wall, and you need to make sure the shower curtain is inside the shower as it falls out easily and the water goes everywhere. Overall the hotel was lovely, owners brian and wendy were very welcoming and friendly. Its in a great location, not far at all from the pleasure beach, but away from all the noise of the clubs etc. Would definately recomend this hotel for a short break away, and i would definately go back if i ever go back to blackpool.

Searched local area for B&Bs, but was referred to this one after we read the horrible reviews on the Castle Hotel. Hotel was easy to find and within 5 mins walk of the Promenade. We were instantly welcomed with a friendly smile and shown to our rooms. The room was not fancy, but adequate and very clean. Thanks for the Tea and Biscuits.

Our only complaint was not really the hotel's fault. We stayed on a Friday night and the noise from the downstairs pub was very loud. Fortunately, our 3-year-old slept through it. This was honestly the only downside to the whole weekend.

If you stay here, I highly suggest purchasing the optional dinner meal. It was only nine pounds and they absolutely stuffed us with good home-made food. I honestly couldn't finish it all. Don't mess around with searching for a meal after swimming at the local water park or walking the beach. This B&B will take care of you better than any local restaurant. Breakfast was delicious as well.

Finally, my hat's off to our gracious hosts Brian and his wife, Wendy. They were delightful and very accomodating.

If we're ever back to Blackpool, we already know where we're going to stay.

This is a great and affordable place to stay in Blackpool.

We were made to feel right at home throughout our stay. This is a family run hotel and the owners were prepared to bend over backwards to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

Also, the full English breakfasts were lovely!!!

If we ever go back to Blackpool we will definately stay at this B&B.

Just back from a 2 day break in Blackpool. We stayed at the Fortuna Hotel with our 4yr old son. The couple that run the hotel are GREAT, they cant do enough for you and nothing is a problem. It was without doubt the best place we have stayed in the UK and have already made a provisional booking for the September weekend. The family room we had was super..... very clean and comfy. Great people, great place it was like being in your own home but without the housework. Loved it.

Friendly welcoming family made us feel at home, only stayed for 3 nights in half term. Good location close to the beach, Pleasure island theme park (BRILLIANT!) and Blackpool Tower. Breakfast was good. Toast, Cereals and Cooked Breakfasts were available with tea and coffee. Had dinner out. Rooms were clean and warm, had tea/coffee making facilities, TV and more.
Overall there was nothing wrong with Fortuna House Hotel at all and would definitely recommend and plan to go back again.

  • Liked — Clean, made you feel welcome
  • Disliked — No views out of rooms, many stairs to the top floor. All I could think of!
