Great place to stay, pity about the surrounding areas, a lot of boarded up properties, just a sign of the times, rooms are brilliant for a wheelchair user pity about the design of the shower which makes it difficult to transfer to the shower seat due to unable to put down bar to help as i could get my chair into area. Prices at bar were more expensive than local jd weatherspoon, would have eaten in house if the price was comparable.

We stayed for two nights with two small children. Room basic but ok and clean. Friday night was ok but Saturday night was very noisy. Quite why they put a family on the ground floor, next to the outdoor area where everyone goes to smoke, and in the middle of rooms full of large groups I cant work out.

The staff were pleasant and the breakfast was nice. I would stay here again but only if we were guaranteed to have a room away from the front entrance and the rooms with all the groups of hen/stag do's.

Traveled with a party of 9. Two booked in later. They were given single beds despite booking a double bed months in advance. Staff said nothing they could do as arrived so late ! Terrible attitude. Various fights in the hotel. Bar had to be closed early. No security staff despite having coach loads of football fans who staff described as "hooligans ". Car alarm going off 2-9am. Nothing done about it despite the owner staying in the hotel ! Not told that you had to pay for car park outside. Car Park attendant told us that's how he makes his money from fines by people not being told. Disgraceful. We will be staying in the premier inn next time.

Myself and my family stopped at the Travelodge for 2 nights from 04/05/14
We checked in to find the family suite that we had booked was very basic. There was a total 6 coat hangers and no other storage space to hang clothes or draws to store them.
After being out all day in Blackpool (in the pouring rain) we got back to the room, there was no where to hand the wet clothing!!
The bathroom was fine, there was only one problem, there was no toiletries other than a 30ml shower gel that wasn't replenished for the second night.

Overall we were disappointed with the room, however the location was good (about 10 minute walk to the sea front)
All the staff that we spoke to were very friendly and very helpful, we had dealings with charlotte - nothing was too much with her (Thank you)
If it's just a room with a bed you are looking for then this hotel would be perfect. But for a small family I wouldn’t recommend it.

Travelodge does budget travel - so this is reviewed in that spirit. We agree with reviewer John P "The best Travelodge I have stayed in".

We visit Blackpool for family events, so this is not a tourist perspective at all. However as trams run all the way along the Blackpool Promenade (and into Fleetwood in the north) it is a short hop (north) to the Tower/shopping or to the Pleasure Beach (south).

It's very new - and this shows in the freshness of the decor and fixtures and fittings. It's next to the football ground - but unless you are there on a busy match day it doesn't matter.

Many good things:
* New, king size beds - quite firm - but good.
* I always take my own pillow everywhere but the 'in house ones' were fine for my husband. Husband says 'not the best - but pretty good'. Better certainly than a recent hotel charging twice as much.
* Parking is great (not true of all Blackpool Travelodges). Free disabled parking.
* Lifts 2 - although it's a big building it means every floor is accessible.
* Disabled rooms truly wheelchair accessible with wet room. Room 105 has a small glitch with drainage - others don't (stayed there 3 times now - different rooms each time).
* There is a place to eat & a bar. Bar is good. Never eaten there (we tend to eat with our family) but it offers breakfast.
* Some accessible rooms have twin and some a 5ft double. Ring ahead if you need a particular lay out.
* Good staff - and it's all v clean

We stayed at the end of April/May @£35 per night - and that was a refundable type of booking.

Room Tip: Lifts to each floor - but if you have difficulty walking far you can ring and ask for a more central...

Quite simply the best Travelodge I have stayed in. Staff, location, room, parking, all perfect for the price. Great value. A very big lodge but well maintained and excellent quality as far as Travelodge's go.
