“Fabolous visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

Steve and Victoria made our 2 days in Windemere and Lake District to a fabulous visit. Their hospitality really made us feel at home and welcome. The room and bathroom was clean and really nice and quiet. Vickys breakfast was one of the best during our travel in England & Scotland and we really appreciated to finally get good coffee! The location have walking distance to restaurants in both Windemere and Bowness. Both me and my son would recommend travellers to stay here and when we come back next time we will for sure stay with them again!

What a fabulous place to stay and Steve and Vicky are excellent hosts making it a home from home holiday. We were looking for somewhere in this area that would accommodate us with our mountain bikes...not an easy thing to do, which is understandble due to the nature of the activity. However, after sending an e mail to Steve and Vicky they were more than happy to accommodate us and our bikes. We stayed in the garden room, which is seperate from the house, but has its own conservatory and this is where our bikes stayed. We had our own 'private' garden and found that it was safe enough to lock the bikes up outside and only brought them in when it rained which was never a problem for our hosts.
We did not have to go to the house for breakfast as breakfast was brought to us, in the conservatory....how spoilt did we feel? The food is second to none, cooked fresh and arrived presentable (no signs of grease).
Then theres the jams (strawberry and marmalade) which are homemade. This caused a problem as they were both outstanding in taste and we couldnt decide which to have on our toast. This was the perfect set up for the day of biking around the lakeland areas. Arriving back at our room we were greated with homemade cake, a different flavour each time. I dont know where Vicky had the time but it was certainly welcoming at the end of a hard day.
The room itself was very spacious, exceptionally clean, comfortable, warm and modern.
I seriously couldnt fault anything. This is definately a place we would stay again and are already planning our next trip. Thank you to you both

Room Tip: If you have problems with climbing stairs then try to request a lower level....the garden room is pr...

We have just got back from a fab 2 nights in Windermere made all the better by staying at a fab place with lovely hosts who couldnt do enough for you. From check-in to breakfast everything was perfect and Vicky and Steve would always check to make sure we had everything we needed including ideas on where to visit and how to get there if you didnt want to drive. Brilliant situation too smack in between Bowness and Windermere only a few minutes walk to either and pubs resteraunts are all along the way. A lovely weekend, cant wait to go back and will def be staying here!

We spent one night at this B&B while driving around the Lake District. Steve was wonderful and welcoming, the room was clean and very comfortable (with delicious homemade cake on our arrival). The whole place was nice and quiet (no noises from the other rooms even though the B&B was full when we stayed) and had one of the most restful nights' sleep in a long time.

The Guest House is ideally located for pubs, shops, restaurants (and the lake) and I would recommend anyone travelling in the area to come and stay here

We had a wonderful time in Windermere, staying at Invergarry Guest House last weekend. The location is excellent and Steve and Vicky made us so welcome. Bowness and Windermere are within easy walking distance, although buses come along frequently, and taxis are also readily available. We are now looking forward to our next visit.

Room Tip: We have stayed in the lovely Garden Room, and on another occasion stayed in the Main House. All room...

An amazing guest house!!! My boyfriend and i stayed at the invergarry for 2 nights from 26th- 28th July 2012 and were very impressed. Due to bad traffic driving from London we arrived there about 4 hours late but Steve and Vicky were so welcoming and patient with us and stayed there until we turned up at around 7pm. Steve showed us around and i must say the rooms were so clean and cozye! Vicky was an amazing cook and there was always home made cake in our room for when we got back in the evenings :) The breakfasts were perfect!!

The room was a perfect size for us both, the shower was lovely and the bed was very comfortable! They had even left a birthday card and balloons in the bedroom for my boyfriend as it was his birthday! There were books, games and brochures available in the front room for us to use as well. The TV was brilliant with a number of different channels and the view we had from our room was nice!

Steve and Vicky both took a huge interest in our activities for the weekend (one of them being Go Ape) and helped us with routes and tours around Windermere etc. They were both very lovely and made us feel right at home!

We would definitely go back again and have even spoken about our next trip, possibly by train so that no time is wasted!!

Thank you Steve and Vicky for a very pleasant stay and we hope to see you soon!

Definitely stay here, you wont regret it!!!
