“Fantastic Breakfast!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2011

Lovely B&B with an award winning Breakfast! Cant fault it at all. Gorgeous Smoked salmon/scrambled eggs & haddock with poached eggs! Our room was clean, linen & towels in perfect order. Great location !!! only minutes from Bowness on Windermere & Windermere towns. Lovely restaurants only a stones throw. Only complaint would be that the 4 poster bed was too short for my boyfriend.

I have stayed in a LOT of hotels and B&B's both for work and leisure and this is defintely the best yet. It's only a 10 minute stroll from both Windermere and Bowness, both of which are lovely so it's in an ideal location (a VERY short and easy to manage incline leads to the hotel). From the minute we arrived Emma et al made us feel welcome. The room was small but perfectly formed and as we booked the "small double" it was exactly as described. Everything was so well thought out; homemade cookies, filter coffee in the room, a really informative guest information book and homemade carrot cake was offered as well. Yes the breakfast room isn't enormous but it's cosy and the breakfast on offer is the tastiest I have had in either a hotel or B&B. To top it off, as we stayed over Easter we had an easter egg left on our pillow and mini eggs by the refreshments in the room. I'll be back next Easter if not before!!!

We had a very pleasant stay at Braemount House. Emma and Gregor were extremely welcoming. When we arrived we were offered homemade brownie or scone which were delicious. Exactly what we needed after our long journey!
The location is good for being able to walk to the restaurants and bars in both Bowness-on-Windermere and Windermere. About 15 mins walk each way. We stayed in room 4 which was very comfortable and clean.
Overall we had a excellent break and would be very happy to stay here again.

We stayed at the Braemount Hotel for a two nights stay from April 15th.I can only say that from the minute that we walked into the main entrance we felt so relaxed .Emma is a fantastic host and her staff are a credit to her.
The rooms are beautifully decorated and airy. There is fresh coffee and milk in the rooms and fresh homemade biscuits .The breakfast is delisc and is from all local produce.
The Hotel is ideally situated to Bownes and Windermere about a fifteen minute walk in either direction and Emma is more than happy to recommended places if you are stuck to go anywhere to eat or sight seeing.
I could go on and on about the Hotel but if you are looking for somewhere to relax and have that extra personel touch then this is the place.
My partner and myself will be returning to this Hotel and we cannot wait and have already recommended to friends and family
A quick mention to Adeat (hope I have spelt that right ) it was an abosolute pleasure to have met you and Jackie has asked me to say thank you for the little extra sauce at breakfast.
Once again thank you to everyone at Beamount House.See you soon.

Excellent hotel , owners & staff very friendly , nothing too much trouble , being greeted with a hot drink & homemade cake was a nice touch , we stayed with friends (2 couples) both rooms of a very high standard , clean & comfortable , we had the top floor suite which was full of character with its own seperate lounge , our friends room was not as large but still very nice , our 2 night stay included breakfast which was excellent both in quality & choice , if there was a negative it would be the dining room being a little cramped if all rooms ate together , but the food quality more than makes up for this .
The hotel itself is in a good position for Bowness , Windermere & the lake , each being approx 10 minute walk .

We arrived late on Friday to a friendly greeting by Emma who took us up to room 9. This was the very spacious suite at the top of the house, with lovely furniture and fittings and gorgeous bedding, towels and bath robes. Attention to detail was evident in the luxurious bathroom products (including a small pot of cotton wool balls and cotton buds), and the tea and coffee making facilities, with fresh milk, ground coffee and speciality teas, together with home-made macaroons.

Breakfast was a delightful experience with local produce in abundance. Emma even persuaded me to try the black pudding (something I don't normally like) and, like the rest of the 'full English' was lovely!

The house is ideally located, being far enough from the main road for the traffic noise not to be a nuisance, yet near enough so that it is just a 10-15 minute walk to Windermere centre or Bowness. Emma provided us with a comprehensive list of the local restaurants , which proved very useful.

I would recommend Braemount House to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday with a touch of luxury in a beautiful part of the country and am looking forward to returning there sometime in the future.

As soon as we arrived we were warmly greeted and personally shown to our rooms . Attention to detail is superb right down to the cotton buds in the bathroom and we loved the decor it is a meeting of modern and traditional furnishings that compliment each other really well. The atmosphere is very relaxed and nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. Dining is a wonderful experience, and the food superb. We are looking forward to a return visit sometime soon
