“Mountain High Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

Absolutely fabulous, covered so much ground and Ian was amazing. If you time is limited and you want to see as much of Lakes District I recommend this tour. The following is copied from their brochure I could not say it better.
No visit to the Lake District is complete without this thrilling scenic excursion over Britain's steepest mountain passes. Hardknott and Wrynose; to England's deepest lake and highest mountain and most beautiful steam train journey plus the fabulous garden and castle at Muncaster. Visit Europe's largest owl sanctuary and "Meet the Birds", wander among the impressive ruins of a 1,900 year old Roman fort. All this and more in this "never to be forgotten" tour.
Commencing: 10.00am and returning 5.45pm (approximately) every day.
I highly recommend.

“Superb day out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

We booked the Beatrix Potter Full day tour and were really pleased we did. Having never travelled to the Lake District before, even though we are born and bred here, it was decided that there was too much to see and do in the 2 days we were staying there. After reading reviews for the Lake Supertours company we decided to book and certainly weren't disappointed. Andy our tour driver and guide for the day picked us up on time from our b&b. He was most informative and very entertaining throughout the tour. We all decided not to pay to see inside Hill Top House which is one of the homes belonging to Beatrix Potter so he took us to see other breathtaking scenery to fill in the time we would have spent there. A lot of the roads and very narrow lanes he took us through we would never have found ourselves and to be honest I don't think I would've driven most of them anyway. We are sure we would not have seen as much as we did of the beautiful countryside surrounding the Lakes if we had not taken this tour. We most certainly would not have learnt as much about the history of the area if we had driven ourselves. We both thoroughly enjoyed our day and would definitely recommend this tour company.

“Great tour”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

We took the Tour I, a half day tour of the Lake District area.
It perfectly suited our needs.

This tour covers most of the Lake District National Park, with a lot of great photostops. We had stayed in Bowness, and so this was our chance to see the rest of Lake District.

It is indeed very beautiful, and the trip is worth doing. The Lake Supertours company and the driver are also very good.

Would recommend this.

“Tour A - Coach & Boat to Borrowdale, Buttermere and Ullswater.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013

We had taken a tour with Mountain Goat earlier in the week and decided that we would take another with them only to discover they were fully booked.
Having read some mixed reviews we were slightly apprehensive about booking with Supertours, however this proved to be unfounded and as it turned out we thought they were better than Mountain Goat.
We were picked up bang on time from our hotel, our guide for the day was Steven.
Steven had an encyclopedic knowledge of the area, he was friendly, polite and humorous. He was happy to answer any questions and clearly loves the history and all the stories associated with the area. Our day included a visit to Grasmere & the Wordsworth Graves, Dove Cottage, lakes Ullswater, Derwent (with boat trip), Buttermere. There was also a stop at Honister slate mine and drives across Honister pass and Kirkstone Pass. We also stopped off at a lovely little church which I cannot remember the name of.
I would recommend Lakes Supertours to anyone, it was fantastic day out.
