We have visited this Inn/Restaurant many times over the years. New owners took over last June 2012 and we went to see what it was like under these new owners late June last year.
As this is the only pub/restaurant/place for food in Threkeld I believe the new owners have taken advantage to hike up prices. Last year a sandwich cost £4.50. This a sandwich is £6.50!! Not to mention the over priced main meals.
Guests be warned there is no seperate room for you so if you are lucky you may get a table to sit at, but certainly not to sit and read or relax at.
Hikers have no choice if they are in need of a drink but to go in and pay these exclusive high prices, though if they can, may be carry on and go back to Keswick where even the hotels are not as expensive.
