I stayed here with my mum for 3 nights in August, midweek. The room was nice, with matching pine furniture, and biscuits! Breakfast was good (a selection of Kellogg's cereals, muesli, orange and apple juice, and a cooked breakfast with a vegetarian option). Helen and Andrew were very friendly and there was a welcoming soft toy on the bed, which was a nice touch. There was plenty of hot water (needed after a long day of walking) and a bath towel, hand towel and flannel was provided for each of us. Oh, and two pillows each!
The walk into town along the main road is not too long, though walking the railway-line route makes it seem shorter. The stone circle is also just a short walk away.
We would definitely stay here again. The price was reasonable, there was car parking available and it's fairly close to town.
