“Excellent place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013 via mobile

Stayed here a few times now and the standard is always great. Would highly recommend to anyone. Always spotlessly clean and superb breakfast. Great to have such a dog friendly place to stay and a warm welcome always received.

Recommend, recommend, recommend!!! Marvellous place to stay in, with lots of amazing views in walking distance, more than nice host Ronnie and really convenient price. What more we could expect?!. Much appreciate this service. Thank you Ronnie.

Ronnie who runs this guesthouse is very much the host with the most. On the phone he was very flexible about our arrival time and on arrival we were met at the door with the offer of a nice cup of tea. The room we stayed in was a little small but very homely and comfortable and at a very reasonable price, so no complaints at all. Breakfast was lovingly prepared and absolutely delicious, again Ronnie was on hand to make sure we had a good start to our day. Most importantly we have a very small baby and Ronnie was totally happy for us to set up our travel cot in the room and he even disposed of our dirty nappies for us, what a service. The location was great for us, just off the A66 with good access to the local fells and the main access routes through the Lakes. It is a little out of town but still only a 15 minute walk if you want to have a drink and a 2 minute drive if you don't. I would recommend staying here to anyone.

Everything is catered for. The rooms have all the amenities expected and everything is spotless. Ronnie is very attentive and the breakfasts excellent- the food is served on piping hot plates.
The walks/drives suggested by Ronnie were appropriate for the weather and requirements for the group.
The B & B is about 30 mins walk into the centre of Keswick- this is the only negative but it does mean there is somewhere to park the car.

Our 2nd time to stay and we were once again well looked after, would highly recommend to anyone coming to Keswick, we were actually running in Glen Ridding but felt sure of the good service here, looking forward to the perfect fry up again at some point in the future!

What can I say that I haven't already said before. Another enjoyable stay and as always faultless.
Great breakfast comfortable rooms and a friendly host for whom nothing is too much trouble. Convenient for town and local walks I never use the car. Has the seal of approval from my dog companion too!

Our first stay at Brookfield and must say, we would definately return! We stayed in a family room with en-suite with our 2 children and dog (who was well catered for also - a towel at the front door and dog bowls in the room!) Immaculate, clean and well decorated throughout. Tea making facilities in the room which were 'topped-up' daily! Breakfast was superb, freshly cooked to order, and Ronnie (owner) was the perfect host, friendly and made the visit feel personal. We stayed for 2 nights to watch the switch on of the Keswick Christmas lights and found the location perfect - just a short drive away from the town centre. Overall a 5 star service.
