We have just returned from a fabulous Easter break in Keswick and had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Heatherlea Guest House - spotlessly clean, delightful hosts, delicious freshly cooked breakfasts with quality ingredients and only a few minutes walk from the centre of Keswick but still very quiet.
We had booked the superior en-suite (room 3) and were delighted with our choice. A tasteful, freshly decorated good sized bedroom, very comfortable king size bed, wonderful views, flat screen television and dvd player, small but modern and clean bathroom with plenty of brilliantly white soft towels AND lots of little extras that were a delight - chocs on the bed every day, an up to date selection of films to watch on the DVD player and bottles of water to name but a few.
It was our first time in the Lake District and neither the area or the Heatherlea disappointed.
ps - the steak pies in Thomason's butchers in Station Street make a wonderful packed lunch. Made daily and outstanding!
