“Lovely brekkie”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

Had to go here as mu hubby is rides motorcyles but you are made very welcome even if you turn up in a car as we did. The breakfast was lovely and we plan to visit to try out the pancakes next time we are in The Lakes in September.

“A Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

Called in last weekend (9-02-13) with the kids, had a short wait as the place was full but no problems with that, eventually got a seat and served in a quick and friendly way by the staff.American pancakes for them and the full english for ourselves....yummy. It's a great place for a meal, snack or just to pop in for a cup of the lovely coffee and a cake,a relaxed atmosphere makes this well worth a visit.highly recommended.

“Robbie burns special breakfast, Mega plateful all fresh and tasty.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

Braved the cold wet miserable weather Saturday the 26 January to give my BMW Gs a spin out and blow off some winter blues. After a circular tour of west cumbria I dropped in at the Filling Station cafe to refuel my body and soul the place was busy but I was the only biker.Special board looked tasty and loaded with good fodder Haggis Haggis sausage bacon beans fried tomatoes and egg and a tattie scone all washed down with a mug of tea and accompanied by some toast £6.95 good value. The service was slow and table space at a premium but as I was in no rush I did a bit of people watching with people who to be polite shared tables with total strangers. My nearest neighbours were a Southern middle class couple paired up with a really broad cumbrian local and. Could tell they only understood a quarter of the craic they. had.All fascinating and all for£8 quid ins the tip.
