We found this Guest House a few years ago and stay regularly. The standard in every aspect is always high. Martin and Gilly are pleasant and helpful with excellent advice to help your stay. The guest house is always immaculate. It is relaxed and comfortable throughout. It is located only a couple of minutes from the town centre of Keswick. We must mention the superb breakfasts, they certainly set you up for the day! See you again soon we hope!

Stayed at Glendale for a weekend break. The guest house is immaculate, our room was very modern and comfortable with a wall mounted lcd tv (makes a change from the little portables propped up in a corner). The food was excellent and the hosts very welcoming. Made for a lovely, relaxing weekend.

Welcoming, cozy and safe. Excellent service - heavenly coffee at breakfast. Spotless room and bathroom. Comfortable beds and wonderful, cozy bedding. Well-lighted room with large window view of Keswick. Came back to a long hot bath and British mysteries on TV after a long day touring the countryside, Dove cottage, Beatrix Potter farms, Wordsworth's grave and Castlerigg Stone Circle.

Excellent location for walking to dinner, shops, or cutting down to a footpath to see Derwentwater at sunset.

Having read the reviews we felt confident that we were going to enjoy our weekend in Keswick, and the Glendale lived up to our high expectations. I hate compromising the standards and comfort I have at home but that certainly didn't happen in this beautifully maintained, comfortable and welcoming house. Martin and Gilly are very attentive and keen to ensure visitors get the most out of their visit to the lakes, with lots of useful information - and even a laminated map, which helped enormously! The breakfasts are great, a comfy bed, crisp bed linen, a real home from home!
