5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2010

We spent a very enjoyable 3 nights in this delightful and exceptionally clean and welcoming country house. The staff were an absolute delight and the breakfasts great. No hesitation in recommending to others. The little extras in the rooms made all the difference. Only 10 minues walk into the centre of Keswick which was very pleasant on a nice evening watching the sun slip down over the mountains.

We stayed at the Grange for 4 nights. The owners, Sally & Mark, were most pleasant and very helpful and the staff were delightful. The room was large, warm and light with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast, in the large and bright breakfast room, was excellent with a good choice, well cooked and, as a bonus, also had lovely views across the hills and lakes Everything was clean and well presented and we not only will return but also highly recommend the Grange.

The superb location and look of The Grange were what first attracted us the first time we stayed there some 3 years ago. We have been back repeatedly making at least two visits per year. The amenities, decor and cleanliness are first class and the breakfast choice superb. You would be hard pressed to meet two nicer or more helpful people than Sally and Mark and their friendly staff ensure the service is excellent. Go on, treat yourselves, you won't regret it!

Lovely grand house with lots of off street parking - whenever we have stayed in Keswick before we have had to park on the road so this is great. You first see a nice sunny terrace with benches and tables to sit and enjoy the wonderful view. Ania greeted us beautifully - we had a super three days and will go back, maybe in Autumn. The breakfast is first class - lots of fresh choices as well as the traditional bit - They even had Eggs Benedict! - Very unusual and a bit special for an English B & B

This is one of the best places that we've stayed in the Lake District after more than 20 years of visiting regularly. The bedrooms are luxurious, very clean and quiet. Great breakfasts and all staff very helpful and nice. Great views from our room and a lovely walk down the back way into the centre of Keswick. We couldn't fault it and will definitely return soon. We've already recommended it to friends and family. It well deserves all its 5 stars.
