Having read the many glowing reviews of this restaurant, my wife and I booked a table, several days in advance, and duly turned up with great expectations. When we arrived we found the restaurant full apart from one, small, table for two, squashed in against a wall, with barely enough room to sqeeze into the seats. In order to cause minimum inconvenience to the couple behind my wife, I moved the table slightly, only to find that the table was then rocking, due to the uneven floor. The, very helpful, waitress spent the next 5 minutes trying to stabilize the table, whilst I stood in the very cramped aisle, nearby, eventually managing to do so by stuffing an order-book beneath one of the feet. Although possibly mistaken, the impression gained from this, embarrasing, situation was that the table had been inserted into its inadequate space as an afterthought. Having settled ourselves, we looked forward to the culinary delights to come, only to be sadly disappointed by both the main course and the sweet, the latter involving, allegedly, homemade, meringue, which almost needed a pneumatic drill to break it. I am sorry to say that we will definitely not be returning.
