A pretty cottage set in beautiful gardens. We love visiting old/historic places and Beatrix Potter's home of the past did not disappoint. It was pouring with rain on our visit but there were plenty of umbrellas to shelter under while we waited for our time, with great views of the garden and rabbits. The house inside was like stepping back in time and we liked the little touches of having books open on pages in specific areas, with stories that related that part of the house. The only down side is that, as it is a small place and visiting is timed, we felt a bit rushed and would have liked longer to look at the finer details of history. This did not dampen our visit though, would recommend a visit.
