“FANTASTIC PLACE TO STAY”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2013 via mobile

I stayed at this hotel at the wknd on a family break and I highly recommend it . The rooms were beautifully decorated, spacious and very clean. The food was absolutely outstanding clean plates all around :-) The staff were all very friendly and happy to help. Would definitely go back and would highly recommend it to my family and friends.

I stayed here with my family for the weekend,we got taken to the cottage right next to the hotel and my first word when we walked through the door was WOW it was lovely a very clean and modern room,a good sized bathroom with a big shower also a lovely view of the mountains from our window I also got to see the family room which was just below my room it's was another WOW its had 2 separate rooms and a big bathroom,we got breakfast at the hotel each morning we stayed there which tasted delicious I had a full English breakfast,on the first night we ate at a different restaurant as the queenshead was so busy but the next 2 nights we ate in our hotel and the food again was fantastic alot nicer than the 1st restaurant we ate in,the staff are really nice and friendly here I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is wanting to stay in hawkshead,I will be booking again to go back next year it's a 5 star place for me :)

We had a wonderful, overnight stop at this hotel. Everything was perfect from the very attractive, comfortable rooms, to the delicious dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. We are a family of four and stayed in the two bedroom, ensuite which was very reasonably priced. We hope to return one day!

We have just got back from a lovely weekend in Hawks Head during which time we stayed at the Queens Head, and what an experience!

The refurbished rooms are gorgeous - genuinely, you would think you were in a boutique hotel rather than an old pub, I loved the décor. The bathroom was compact but modern and really clean.

Breakfast was very nice, served hot (always a bonus) by very hardworking, friendly and polite staff. We ate there both evenings and thought the food and the menu were very nice with lots of choice.

We had a quick trip to the Lakes for an overnight stay in Hawkshead, we were really pleased we chose the Queen's Head Hotel. The room was beautifully decorated and spacious and the food was absolutely fantastic! Couldn't fault anything, and we will return!

Room Tip: We did have noise from the kitchen extractor, however this did not spoil our stay. I would think if...

We recently had a evening meal at the Queen's Head. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout the meal and the food was fantastic. The pizza's were very good and were freshly prepared on a light authentic dough. The wild boar sausages where very tasty and a good sized portion, served with mashed potato, mange tout and gravy. After eating at a number of other establishments in Hawkshead, this has to be the top restaurant in the village.
