“Good walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2014

Enjoyable challenge to carry on after Helm Crag to Gibson's Knott and Pike of Carrs before descending to return down the valley back to Grasmere.

“Nice walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2014

Do it early and avoid the crowds. Takes about 90 minutes up 60 minutes down. You can park in the grounds of Lancrigg but keep it a secret.

“Enjoyable walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2013

I'm not very fit, but I easily managed this walk. There are some steep parts but the odd stop to admire the scenery allows the lungs sufficient time to regain breath!

So many flies at the top in summer, don't forget your repellent.

Very slippy descent , I stumbled and hurt my ankle. So I would advise caution coming down the shingle and stone part. Nevertheless thoroughly enjoyed the wslk and views.

“The lion and the Lamb, the Old lady at the Organ.....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2013

Just two of the names that are used to describe this beautiful fell, with a good walk in some places quite steep, well worth the effort just to see Grasmere from above, for the more energetic one can continue the walk to take in Easdale tarn and then return via Sour milk gill...

“wow, very steep at the end”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013

Not just a walk, need to climb the last bit. Worth it if you are a bit of a goat, otherwise skirt the top. Nice view across the valley.
