“Highest Point in Lancashire”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

Its the 'Highest Point in Lancashire' if you ignore the gerrymandering. Great views from the top, esp in winter on a cold clear day. You can see many peaks of the Lakes, the IOM and even Darwen Tower on the West Pennine Moors. Walked up many times on the various paths.

Very good walk you need to be in good health and fit but the views are well worth the effort on a clear day

“The Old Man”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

Coniston is a great place to stay and the Old Man of Coniston is a must if stopping here. Its quite a climb to get to the top but well worth the twists and turns as you get to the top. Its easy enough to get to the top with no rock climbing involved

plenty of good pubs for a beer afterwards
