Went here for a meal Wednesday evening. We weren't expecting anything spectacular but what we got was well below average. It was very quiet, but maybe that is typical of 8pm midweek. The scruffy hand written sign in the window saying "now shut mondays" didn't fill me with confidence. The girl that served us in fairness was lovely. The interior is what I would call "cheap chick". The buffet is hidden behind a wall which I find odd as in my opinion it should be the focal point. Anyhow, the service style was explained and we went to help ourselves. Half of the small selection cart is indian and the other Chinese. We were told on arrival that some off the choices were low and would be replenished shortly. In actual fact more than half we're empty and only a couple were filled up. I don't find this acceptable, I understand the kitchen doesn't want to have lots of wastage but we paid as much as anyone else did that night and therefore I expect the same amount of choice. What we did have was fairly nice although most of the things I like to eat - satay chicken, tikka masala, chicken pakora, duck, had run out. The dessert selection as far as I could see consisted of tinned fruit and an icecream machine so we didn't bother. In the end it cost 12.95 each (same price every evening, less through day) not including drinks which really is too much midweek, plus we later found out the card machine was out of order which meant a trip to the petrol station in order to pay. Overall, it had potential to be so much better but I will not return and would not recommend.
