Took some good friends for a special dinner to this place where we have had lovely meals before. In this instance the service was slow and sour-faced, and the food was very poor. To be frank I could have barbecued my chicken in the garden better than they cooked it with a full kitchen retinue and fancy title. Scallops were watery and poorly garnished. Steak was tough and clearly either old or from a low quality source. Had to chase for the starter and the main, although naturally the resell of the repeat bottle of wine came unprompted! Won't be taking friends here again, too risky.
