We decided to stay at this hotel last minute for 6 days in February. Overall, it was a good experience.

Since the hotel block is less than a year old it is very modern. Everything about the room was great. Unfortunately, the only problem- and it was a big one for us- was that we were not able to connect to the internet in our room or in the pub. The staff could not have tried harder to help try to get it done but it was not to be.

The advantage of staying at a new hotel is that the rooms are nice but they are still working out a few issues.

The town is about 15 minutes outside of Tunbridge Wells and doesn't offer much except the Camden Arms pub itself, which is great and always busy. There is an Indian restaurant (make right out of parking lot, 2 blocks on a corner on the left) in town that is decent.

The location is perfect for exploring both counties of Sussex and Kent.

I'd stay here again.

Turned up late - it wasn't a problem for the staff, who kept the kitchen open until we were ready to eat. Our laptop wouldn't connect to the wireless internet straight away - the staff couldn't do enough to try to help us solve the problem, which we did. The food was great, the room warm, comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. Overall - an unfussy two day stay at a hotel I would recommend for business or pleasure.

The Camden Arms is a traditional old English pub, with a new accommodation block added on. The rooms are beautiful, well furnished and appointed and very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and they serve good pub food all day.
Great value for money. Could not be better!

“Very pleasant stay at Camden Arms”

My husband and I spent two nights at the Camden Arms while on a short break in Kent. It's situated in the quiet village of Pembury, but is close to Tunbridge Wells and ideally situated for several NT properties, of which we visited a few.

We booked a four-poster room, which was spacious and very comfortable with lots of storage space. The bathroom was clean and sparkling with a really good shower. This was the biggest room and looking at the plan of the rooms, the standard doubles looked quite a lot smaller so it was certainly worth paying £10 more a night for the four-poster.

Breakfast was described as Continental but was more than adequate, with cooked meats, croissants, toast, cereals and boiled eggs, which you cook yourself in a rather nifty egg boiler! There was a good choice of evening meals. Staff were pleasant and friendly and there was a very homely atmosphere.

All in all very good value for money and we would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.
