“Fantastic find, with stunning views!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013 via mobile

I discovered a lovely friendly restaurant at the end of Ramsgate pier. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a lovely atmosphere and welcoming staff. I was with my family & I had the Swedish hash which was delicious & piping hot, nothing seemed too much trouble. I would definitely reccomend this relaxed family run restaurant as the place to go when visiting Ramsgate!!

“Great location but needs to pull its socks up!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013 via mobile

Having been back to eat here both breakfast and lunch 4 times I am very much enamoured with this place. The location is beyond fabulous and the staff very friendly. However service is extremely haphazard and too slow when it is busy. Food is variable between visits which is troubling. The general consensus seems to be that people desperately want the brasserie to succeed but the aforementioned issues need to be resolved.

“Fortune Favours the Bold!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

Fantastic new place with the best views in Ramsgate. Adrian has created a relaxed atmosphere, and with great cooking, fantastic value and generally excellent service this is a brilliant addition to the town. There's a lot of local goodwill for those brave enough to open new businesses here and Adrian really deserves every success. It's been busy every time I've been - whether it's for breakfast, lunch or dinner - and I heartily recommend it...although parents with hyperactive children and no sense that not everyone enjoys them screaming and shouting through a New Years Eve meal MAY want to consider tying them up outside next time they come....Isn't that what the sea wall is actually for? Just sayin'...

“Get your act together!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013 via mobile

Such big promise ended in such big disappointment. The location of the restaurant cannot be faulted it is glorious in any weather. The promise of a hearty British food made on location from breakfast till late is luring and we couldn't wait to try it!
The atmosphere was buzzing and many people were sitting in Chatting.
However :
The whole place was done on the cheap, perhaps thinking the people of Kent like this kind of cheap ugly shubby chic that screams :we see you coming, we are pretentious and want to earn lots of money quickly ".
The service took forever (4 coffees and a beer , we gave up asking for a menu and waiting for someone to notice us).

The last insult came with the coffee : instead of investing in good coffee, they chose the cheapest of the cheap. This is not the kind of place id go back to in a hurry.

“Amazing vibe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

Went for a late lunch on New years day, parked at the end of the harbour wall on a rare sunny day with views to die for.
restaurant is laid back , lots of dogs - great, and some well behaved children ! a sort of seamless serving of late lunch, tea and people having a few drinks.Service is as others have said patchy and we had the back end of the lunch menu , and as the place was rammed they had run out of some options, but overall this place really is the business and I hope they survive the dog days of February, because whatever the weather its worth a visit, oh and the pianist was brill as well. ( the chips however were rubbish as other reviewers have noted) Foccacia much much better.
