“very good home made cakes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

We live in Ramsgate and eat in a number of the local restaurants and tea rooms. We started calling in here a few months ago and we are very pleased we did. The coffee is very good but the home made are absolutely excellent. There is a lovely atmosphere and in the winter an open fire. A perfect place to meet friends and become friends with the owner. If you are in Ramsgate don't miss it!

“Delightful cafe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

We found this cafe by chance and we were so glad we did. On a cold day it was lovely to see a real fire and receive a warm welcome. The decor is charming with fresh flowers (gerberas and roses) on the tables. We only had coffees but wished we had been hungry because the light lunches looked delicious and all served on pretty china. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and genuine.

“Like a little sanctuary. Om shanti!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2012

My daughter brought me here for the first time today. I didn't want to go down to the harbour because everyone wad out as it was gorgeous weather. My daughter suggested this place as a nice little care with a pretty sun trap area out back. If you like wind chimes, overflowing pots, pebbles, buddhas, you might like this place. It has a nice feel about it, very calm. We opted for afternoon tea for two, sandwiches, 2 scones with jam and clotted cream, 2 pieces of cake and a pot of tea, served on vintage china. The menu is varied with a good choice for breakfast, lunch or tea. Staff are welcoming and friendly which makes for a relaxed atmosphere. Inside, it is bright with paintings and well set out. It is a nice place to go with someone, or even alone to read your newspaper. Will go back here again for sure. We had to take a doggy bag away with our cake in because the afternoon tea is filling and worth just under £12.00 for the two of us.

“The finest tea shop in Ramsgate”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012

Marmalade is an attractive little cafe serving tea coffee cakes and light meals in the centre of Ramsgate. I found it welcoming and attractive and the food was good and yes, the coffee was excellent. They are the sort of place you will get ethically sourced locally sourced and healthy food. I also enjoyed the famous people's wisdom quotes around the walls. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

“Best coffee in Ramsgate”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2012

Marmalade is a welcoming, beautifully decorated cafe, and serves excellent coffee with free homemade biscuits! The food is excellent, especially the range of cakes and sandwiches for a traditional high tea. It is easy to relax here at any time of the day and in the winter it has a real fire, which is fantastic.
