We booked a table for the Pre-Theatre menu - which is available until 7pm., although they are quite strict and want the food order to be "in the kitchen by 7". (When on a short break away from home, we find that an early dinner, after the day's exertions, suits us fine)
The menu, available on-line, was fairly short but attractive. The main evening menu did look more exciting, and if we visit again would like to try this out.
The wine list is excellent, not a huge number by the glass, but good bottle selections at very keen prices. We had a bottle of great value Julienas, which was very good.
All our courses were well presented, tasty and what one would expect of an establishment that had a full entry in last year's Good Food Guide, and "also recommended" in this year's.
The service was friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend this for an early dinner. If we lived in Canterbury we would eat here regularly. (On this break we also eat at @Bode and the Goods Shed - so lucky Canterbury people!)
